Dominoes are refusing to take responsibility for an error.

I usually use their visa pay at the checkout, from my phone.
However it must have glitched becasue it had said my order had failed and I was charged nothing. So I tried once again resulting in the same issue, before paying with a different option.

The pizza guy turns up with 3 lots of pizza... I send 2 back.
I checked afterwards and I have been charged for the 2 "failed" orders.

I complain and get a response saying because it is a franchise I wont get my money returned.

I can only think I can try to order again in the exact way where I encountered the glitch with the same device and then phone them up and cancel the order. (and record the person I talk to to prove there is a connection between the screenshot I take and the order)

Where would I send this information though?

A response from whom? Domino's HQ or the franchise?

Try contacting your bank (credit or debit card provider, as applicable), and asking for a chargeback of the two extra orders.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Are you sure that you understood correctly?

In reality, you didn't order your pizzas from Dominoes, you ordered your pizzas from a Dominoes franchise.

So could it be that Dominoes were telling you that Dominoes cannot give you a refund, you have to ask the Dominoes franchise to give you a refund?

It may very well be that Dominoes weren't at fault and it was a visa pay problem.
  • Am wondering if the 3 separate charges are against Visa Merchant rules.

    On what basis?

OP admits that they pressed order 3 times. Fact it gave a decline message is retailers system fault....
    Domino's is a regular offender.

We get a lot on calls @ night time that Takeaway not delivered or pressed pay so many times and got the orders, but said declined.
Advice. You need to go back to retailer.

I don't know why, but I feel it's important to point out that it's actually Domino's.

Anyhow, did you provide a contact number? The franchise should have got in contact with you when they noticed you had the exact same 3 orders.
