Am too embarrassed to say what we spend on food. There's three of us and 2 cats but it is still significantly more than the budgets others describe on here. We don't drink much alcohol either. We used to get most shops from A$da but I felt bad about taking up a delivery slot, so we've been doing in person M0rris0ns during the lockdown, it's certainly more pricey. To my (limited) credit, when I had to remortgage after divorce, the bank crawled all over three months of my bank statements and at that time it was more than £500 a month at M&S just for my daughter and myselfWe've gone from ready made microwave meals to proper food and batch cooking for me (after slimming world indoctrination). Saving loads, but still too embarrassed to tot it up. Under a £100 would be impossible to me. The supermarket makes a huge difference.ElmoR x5

There is only one of me though ElmoR and "normally" I would be at BF's for 2/3 nights a week. I always get the cheapest toiletries/ washing powder/loo roll etc as well, as fortunately I'm blessed with non-sensitive skin. Well done on kicking the M&S habit though - I got a gift card from there a few years ago from switching bank accounts and used to pop in at the end of the month when I had run out of cash and the prices were definitely 😮😮😮!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Ooh, another thing on food shopping, now Sainsbury's are doing their extra Nectar points offers on the app again, I'm racking up the points like nobodies business as they are paying me to take stuff away. This week I got £1.35 of points for a £1.00 spend so that helps too 😀 Just wish they'd stop offering me cucumber - I can't bear it and have NEVER bought one!!!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I think £100 a month is a fantastic achievement! I’m only buying for me and am feeling pleased with having hit £160 a month and that’s only since giving up the booze! And send any cucumbers my way, I love crunchy water 😂MFW 2020 #139 £781/ £30006

Bleurgh! It's just the way they're so insipid, yet taint everything they come into contact with with their watery flavour!
Just remembered I don't eat meat - that helps too 😂!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
