Don't worry, I keep telling people I've been working in my field for 14 years but turns out it's only 12 - and I'm a data analyst 😂Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20174

To add to that, I’m an accountant and can never remember for the life of me what my actual salary is 😂. I know roughly, but who keeps count of gross anyway when it’s the amount I get in my pocket that counts?!2025 decluttering: 5,000 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟2025 use up challenge: 362🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge +4/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 120/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 5002

I tell people that I don't count unless I'm paid to. Works remarkably well getting me out of the whole "you can work out how much of the meal we all owe, you're the accountant".
How short are you this month?3 -
Ooh, I'm so glad I'm not the only one then 😀! Fortunately, maths is not part of my job, and I'm just required to have a rudimentary idea of the amount of money I'm spending!
Not really sure how short I am, KP 🤔 I've already topped up with just over a fiver from Prolific, so personal spends pot at £57-ish. I haven't really thought about what I need to spend on other than the Christmas party (not been to one with this company before so not sure what the etiquette is around drinks, but had better not go empty-handed just in case 🤣). Will need to pay a share of a taxi there and back. Have also just remembered I've got a hair appointment (£44)! I should cash out on One Poll today though, but that takes so long to arrive it may or may not make a difference! May be raiding the grocery and petrol pots before the month is out 😀!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Oh, and make-up, which has decided to run out before I had quite enough Boots points to be able to replenish it FOC 🙄 (why you can't use them as part-payment is beyond me 🤷♀️)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

First of the month round-up....
Movement during November 2021: +£1429.06
Money needed as at 1 December 2021: £272,624.80
Not bad, I guess, although the pensions did indeed drop way back again 🙄! About half of that is pension growth/contributions and the other half is spending money from the refurb fund despite not actually having it yet (so whereas spending the money should result in the refurb budget in the "needed" section and the cash savings in the "have" section both being depleted equally, instead it's reduced the needed budget but had no effect on the cash - which is currently sitting at, er, £0.00 🤦♀️ Money is coming from the EF - which isn't included in these figures - so at some point need to top that up again) Clear as mud 🤣???Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I currently have emails confirming payout requests totalling £40 sitting in my inbox. This is making me very happy 😀! I am almost haircut-neutral!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Haircut neurtral 😂😂
Well done on the free money, and achieving so many goals, and your running prediction 😂😂 Make sure you predict yourself something nice next time!3 -
Thanks Cheery 😀!
Good idea! OK, so for 2022 I predict career success, weight loss without trying and lots and lots of savings in the bank....

I've just made a spreadsheet 😳
I wanted a breakdown of where this year's free money has come from, and really didn't fancy adding it all up by hand - trawling back through my diary to find the monthly summaries I'd posted was bad enough 😮! Nectar points currently sitting in a surprise Bronze position - I would not have guessed that! Almost makes me wonder whether I should start up the surveys again, as there's a clear drop-off when I stopped, but don't think I can bring myself to do that just yet! One Poll will overtake Nectar if the pending payout reaches me before the end of the month, and that is much less hassle (albeit much weirder 🤣) so will concentrate my efforts there, I think!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
