This decision to buy more clothes is turning out to be more hassle than it's worth - 3 parcels returned to Boohoo in the last few months, and 3/3 have refunded me the wrong amount!!! This time they've refunded me for the two items I kept but not credited two (more expensive) ones I returned 😡 And so begins the email tennis.... Funny how they never c*ck it up in my favour 🙁

I never had this problem once when they were Dorothy Perkins and Oasis - and of course I can't just think "Sod it, I'll shop in store instead then" 🙁! Brilliant start to my morning 🙄!

That is a lot of faffing about you are needing to do to get your money back. I always think I am being over the top when I add the details to my deliveries and returns spreadsheet.
You have shown me the error of my ways and I will bow down to your greater knowledge.

Well I didn't quite manage to have money leftover before payday after all - in fact I am -£7.40 🤦‍♀️ However, I have a full tank of petrol and all of the next week's groceries (making it a 4-weekend month instead of 5), so I'm ready to hit the ground running in November. I also bought two clothing categories during October, so I'm ahead of myself on the wardrobe refresh and I've purchased an ironing board cover (I threw the old one away as it was turning into a dust trap, but now I actually use the ironing board it shouldn't gather so much dust 🤣!)

So I'm still taking that as a win 😀

Sadly, I am extremely fussy about clothes, always have been. There are only certain brands I will buy from and none of them are on the high street any more (well, not my high street anyway 🙄). I've tried cheap/supermarket/second-hand, but it never feels quite right and I feel very self-conscious, which is the opposite of how I should be feeling when I'm wearing new clothes! Ridiculous, I know, but I've boxed myself into a corner and I'm stuck there now 🤣!
