Woke up this morning with £160 and 6 days til payday (sorry KP 🤣), so spent £22.99 choosing clothes from an online order I needed to try on, £2.35 at Lidl, £38 topping up the car with petrol and £8.41 on books from eBay to take advantage of a "£2 cashback when you spend £5" offer from TopCashBack. Then the gift card balance on my Amazon account (earned from surveys etc) was burning a hole in my pocket, so have ordered some outrageously expensive sports socks 🤣! Think I'll need another tank of petrol at the end of the week (lots of driving due this week), but should still have some left over before payday 😀

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Sounds like a productive use of your time and money.  You've reminded me that I've got some amazon vouchers that I need to add to my account ready for when we've decided on a new vacuum.

  • I save stuff up to take advantage of those £2 TCB deals. There is always something somewhere I’ve earmarked. Must go and buy a pumpkin this week and get £2 back as well!
