Free money pretty pants in our neck of the woods, too, just aggressively renegotiating any expired tariffs/contracts etc. Like pulling teeth!4

I don't even have that 🙁! The only one I could possibly do anything about would be the electric, but as that would mean my smart meter going "dumb" and it needing changing I really don't have the stomach for it 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Same here. Nothing but a paltry £2.36 payable from TCB. We could do with a nice bank switch for a bank we don't have an account with

Ah, those were the days....😍😍😍 I think I got about £600 for doing the rounds before. Actually, it was quite a few years ago now, so if they come back it might be long enough ago that I can count as "new" again!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

How many years does it take to be new to a bank?4

It depends on the bank! Martin's guide always specifies, generally it's about 5 years I think if they've paid you an incentive before (although I think Halifax is either 2 or 3 years 🤔)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

So it could be a fairly regular income then. Personally, I haven't done the bank hopping because when I was saving I never had enough DDs to qualify for them, now that I do I should probably look into it!3

I had one into my S&S ISA and one into a private pension at the time, so they did the jolly tour round 😀 The same amount every month, so a simple standing order and even I couldn't c*ck it up! I did feel a bit guilty when the provider kept having to write to me to say they'd changed the bank details though 😳!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
