Poor you SC - I am also a head in the sand type (I thought my premature labour with DD was just a little tummy ache and have had multiple lectures from my autoimmune nurse about my relaxed attitude to relapses).Take care of yourself - it can be a big emotional shock being properly ill for the first time as well as all the physical stuff.4

Thanks Busy_Mee. Yes, it's a bit like buses, you spend ages waiting for something to happen, then several come along at once!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I'm just hoping there's not a third 🤣!
I'm feeling a lot better thanks Vix, I can walk much more normally now (which I demonstrated excitedly to BF when he delivered my shopping yesterday), although my foot still keeps getting darker fairly soon after any time it's not elevated. Struggling a bit with the side effects of the tablets (face very flushed, I've come up in a rash, and feeling quite hot - I got swabbed for Covid as a precaution when I was at the hospital on Thursday, so definitely not that!), but they're all listed as common side effects. I've got a follow-up call with the hospital next Saturday so will discuss with them then. The dosage drops down in a few weeks, so hopefully things will ease off then. But mostly, I feel good!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Glad you're feeling better. The side effects sound concerning though - I'd speak to your doctor sooner than that. As the level of medication increases in your system, they may worsen/add new ones - so don't delay like you (apparently) usually do! (Hate to say it, but you could also have picked up Covid there and the temp be related to that - unlikely, but not impossible!)
