I always watch Midsomer Murders and wonder why on earth anyone would want to live there, the crime rate is diabolical! But then again maybe house prices are super cheap because of it 🤔Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

And seeing as I have stumbled on fellow Midsomer Murders enthusiasts (knew you lot had taste 😀), here is DCI John Barnaby from a 1995 episode of Inspector Morse 😀

I prefer to test myself and try to remember. If we're right near the end and I still can't remember I resort to imdb.

I've been sent a cheque for 4p 🤣!
About 18 months/2 years ago, I bought some shares through work as they'd taken a bit of a tumble and seemed like a good deal. After various jiggery-pokery with free shares/paying from my gross salary etc, I paid c£1200 for a holding worth £2700. As I now don't work there any more, I've had to come out of the scheme and had the choice of whether to sell them or have them transferred into my name. I was all for selling, as I wanted a clean break and I'm not sure when/if they'll ever recover, but BF convinced me to keep them as I've already lost the money and really didn't have anything more to lose if they fall further - they're now worth....wait for it....£288 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️! Anyway, so I went with the "keep" option (which has cost me £20 to process - another "debt to self" 😠) and this odd 4p appears to be the money left over that didn't fit into a "whole" share. Think that's definitely one to pay in at the cashpoint and not over the counter 😳! Looking forward to reporting it in my September free money totals 🤣!
I've also applied for 4 jobs. Don't like it when they ask what my previous salary was 🙁 One also asked what I thought the salary should be for the role 🤔🤔🤔 There was nothing on the ad, so I had to just come up with a guess. I've either ruled myself out, or made myself look temptingly cheap 🙄!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
