Ha, that does sound just like me SC
The amount of blogs I've read right through from the beginning!
Anyway, I'm up to 2014 in my own diaries now - slowly getting there

There’s nothing like a good long diary read! I don’t feel I have all the context if I haven’t read from the beginning.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, me too! And it's proper frustrating when they're not in any kind of order 🤣!
Serious question now, can anyone tell me when exercise actually becomes enjoyable?

Enjoyable? Not altogether sure it ever does. But the alternative is definitely NOT enjoyable. Like when you discover you can only jive (yes showing my age) through one record when you used to do it for 4 hours straight. Exercise becomes an imperative.

I find stealth exercise is the most enjoyable, walking, etc.
Always groan at structured stuff that you need to prep for...If it's not adding up, compound it!7 -
I only enjoy exercise afterwards, when I get the endorphin high. And I only do it because I want to feel better bodily, if you see what I mean? I can't motivate myself to do it for any reason other than "when I don't, it hurts more". Thankfully, "when I don't, it hurts more" is a pretty useful and consistent motivator!
who'd've thunk it?!
(Additional disclaimer: I have a bad hip. When it hurts more, it hurts BAD.)Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Ha, I knew all those people who "love" the gym and claim they get ansty when they can't exercise were lying!!! I'm still huffing and puffing my way round walking 3+ miles most mornings, but it's such an effort to go out and not helped by the fact that it's getting lighter later now. I think it would be slightly more motivating if I was seeing any kind of improvement as a result, but 2lbs of the 3lbs I had lost the other week have gone back on 😮 (that'll be Pasta Week - ooh, sounds all exciting and Bake-Off-y when I call it that). BF has hosted a barbecue this evening and I've just had my second slice of lemon drizzle, so I'm probably now heavier than when I started 😥
Oh well, diets start (again) on Monday, I will keep trying (and in more successful news, the mortgage is now under £20k 😀)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Congrats on the teeeeeennnnnnnsssss!
I would love to encourage all this exercise and say it becomes enjoyable... but I never got to that stage and then I quit... Whoops. My friend however loves exercise so much that she has her own gym equipment in a spare room in her house (madness- could be a cake and ice cream room).8 -
Now, see if I had room for an exercise bike or treadmill at home, I would definitely use it (I mean, exercise AND Midsomer Murders, why wouldn't you???) That totally appeals to my indoor/lazy side.... But I just can't work out where I would store it, and I wouldn't want it in the middle of my lounge when it wasn't in use 🙁Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
