I've been re-reading earthgirl's diary over the last few days, and I really admire the way she manages to turn every negative event around and find some positives in it. That's a much better attitude than lurking about with the curtains closed and feeling gloomy 😮!
So, here goes....
😀 I wanted to change job this year, and I have! Who cares if I've not got a new job yet, I'm away from the old one - hurrrah!
😀 (Need to double-check the figures on this one, but I think I'm right) I should still hit my target mortgage balance of £13k-£18k by the end of the year. Who cares if I don't clear it next year, even if I don't make a single other OP ever I'll still pay it off years sooner than I was meant to!
😀 I've got an opportunity to really focus on health and wellbeing. Who cares if I'm not losing weight!*
😀 I've been able to do something with the apples from BF's trees (including the bag I picked for him about 10 days ago and he hadn't touched, which I have liberated today), instead of them just falling onto the drive and getting driven over like last year 🤦♀️ I now have a huge amount of chopped apple in the freezer ready to add to my morning milkshakes (and plenty still on the trees, I only picked the low-hanging fruit - turns out it's not just management speak 🤣!) Who cares if it's nothing fancy!
😀 I'm now showering in my own bathroom again, after nearly a year of baths only! Who cares if it looks awful!
😀 I'm saving a fortune on haircuts/hairspray/make-up. Who cares if I have to tie my hair back to look halfway presentable!
😀 I've just had a delicious lentil lasagne for dinner 😋 Weeknight cooking, yay! Who cares if it's stuffed with cheese and pasta!
That actually makes me feel a lot better, it's quite liberating! Hurrrah for tomorrow being a new day, who knows what will happen!
* Incidentally, I've been going through the Uni paperwork from my parents' loft and came across the diet plan my Mum wrote for me (with my consent!) after I put on a huge amount of weight in my late teens. I texted her to tell her I'd found it and she replied "Maybe it's time to try it again...." (thanks Mum 🙄). My response: "But I already eat much better now than I did then!" And I do! Ha! 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Thanks both 😍 It doesn't feel like it!
Just spent half an hour doing very odd surveys on Streetbees. What possible benefit to mankind can there be in them having a photo of what I use to shave my legs, or the tatty old book I am re-reading? Oh well, I'll keep going as long as they're interested! £1.60 coming my way for that lot at some point 😀Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

All of those positives are very positive!! Woop!Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

Even more positive is the fact I don't need to cook dinner tonight, as it's last night's leftovers 😋
3 jobs applied for, and spent most of the afternoon in a murderous rage trying to swap my old CV for the new one on LinkedIn. I eventually found the right page after searching their help function, but it wouldn't accept the new document as it wasn't one of their listed file types - it was 😡!!!
Turning negatives into positives:
* All the other job sites accepted it without any fuss
* I think I have got LinkedIn set up to now send me more sensible jobs, instead of claiming they are in my home town when they are actually 100's of miles away
* As soon as I find a job, I can delete the flipping LinkedIn account!
* Worked out why I am receiving the same jobs multiple times from Reed (turns out I'd set up duplicate searches 🤦♀️)
* Think I've managed to edit my search on Hays, so they don't send me the same 5 (unsuitable) jobs every single day any more
* Dug out my wireless mouse and re-discovered the joy of scrolling 😍😍😍
