Obviously, the infrastructure would need to be in place, but since the test fees would make it self-financing...hollie.weimeraner wrote: »have you seen the waiting list for tests in some areas? Can you imagine the logistical nightmare of re testing everyone in the UK every 10 years?0 -

It's £14 to renew the photograph every 10 years.
So that is £48 I've saved so far over changing for no reason at all in 1999, with another £28 still to save yet, no doubt they'd make me pay the full £14 to renew at age 69.

Spread over three decades...
Which'll take you up to half a century.
You are right
, I counted one too many,
£20 in 1999
£14 in 2009
£14 in 2019
£14 in 2029
So only a saving of £62 overall.
And then I'll be on the 3 year programme before 2039.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

So my 99.5% sellotape and 0.5% paper would no longer be valid? Damn.
Its MSE surely if I saved £1 since the photo cards were issued then its a win for the consumer, no?
Never mind the vast fortune of £30 or maybe more if you count in the digital tacho cards which most of the drivers bought but were almost out of date before the firm actually purchased a vehicle with one.
Saved enough for 2 takeaways probably.
If I claim having a photo licence will cause me pain and suffering can I claim compensation? Oh goody... how much??
