  • Haha, that made me laugh.  Not just because you hadn't noticed, but because you admitted to not listening to your wife.  I have conversations like that with my husband all the time.... he nods and smiles and it goes right over his head :D
I saw that telly program, Mosely and his wife.  I enjoyed it and the results were very impressive.  I had serious house envy too, their home was lush!!  The thought of only 800 kcals makes me twitch a bit, but I'd imagine it's an amazing reset.

yes I have been known to nod wisely whilst missing the point completely

We are doing well - half way through Day 3 and 800 cals definitely doable.  You can't expect not to be hungry (and I am hungrier than when on Keto) but we NEED to do this and it is manageable.  We're giving it a few days before we start checking for losses and ketones (pee sticks) which is ewww but not bad

More recipes, day 3 was yesterday so day 4 supper is still in the fridge
    * Day 3 - Breakfast: 2 Egg and 2 Bacon  - Lunch:Smoked salmon and Scarmbled eggs - Supper: Chicken in lettuce Fajitas
    * Day 4 - Breakfast: Porridge & Fruit - Lunch:Broccoli and Blue cheese soup - Supper: Crab and Avocado Salad

Still enjoying it - lots of water alongside so feeling healthy but hungry

In financial news, managed to get a much cheaper SIM for DD (still paying until she gets a job), and can top up her data from DS who has a large allowance from he had a driving job. So that's 4 contracts for £90 with 2 phones on SIM only - the one phone that is quite expensive is end of contract in 3 months and I can't do much about it until then

Its the fast 800 plan that comes with all the merchandise, and we have bought in.  maybe £60 in all including a few of the slimfast type powders that will do in a rush or at work.  Although we haven't used them - this is the one the recent telly series was on.

in other news I'm up earlyish as we have a plumber round to fit a toilet that wouldn't stop flushing - not too much water wasted and no spillage as we had the mains off most of the while.  which was inconvenient.  I signed up to one of the protection plans so it was useful to get a next day call out - although probably not a true saving over having a local tradesman on call, but I don't seem to  be able to do one.

money is looking good, with the slight surplus from last month this month is looking better plus the money OH spent on her community thing should come back soon.  so it seems there is a virtuous circle when you get out of your OD - who knew.  I think I'll do it like the AA - I'm now 45 days in the black (not mocking I know addiction is serious, but succeeding day by day as a consequence of sorting your life/finances  out is a good thing)

PS we had committed to the crab and avocado salad before we knew how much a small tin of crab cost - nearly £4, so next time it will be tuna and avocado salad, as a little more flavour would have been nice.  Plus the side dish was courgettes sliced long ways to get more ribbonated, and they added a nice touch of warmth to the dish

More recipes - day 6 was yesterday.  Was a bit odd at lunch as we had preorganised a cream tea Sunday before we started, so we didn't abstain completely, but scone and jam is definitely not on the approve list, so a set back (not on the scales) but def no on plan

    * Day 5 - Breakfast: Yogurt & Berries - Lunch:Broccoli and Blue cheese soup - Supper: Chicken with lemon and herbs & Kale
    * Day 6 - Breakfast: Berry Smoothie -   Lunch: Beetroot Brownie & Scone (+jam and cream) - Supper: Garlic Mushroom Omelette

    Edited to add
    * Day 7 - Breakfast: Yogurt & Berries - Lunch: Cold Meat and Salad - Supper: Mushroom Omelette
