Been a bit quiet my OH and I were having a weekend break staying overnight with friends. Sunday was lovely and sunny so walked a good number of steps. Will just get through the week then catch up with all reporting for the first month of 2022 - how did we get here!I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Garden works progressing well adding a couple of extra bits to get slabbed that will save work later and allow us to put some pots down to catch the morning sun, and also provide a bit of a hard standing storage area to keep that a bit more out of sight.
Still waiting for the supplier to provide the final consignment of gravel - there is a hiccup in the works, but its not a big deal. Then maybe next week we can start on the inside with the bathroom - that might be a bit disruptive but will see. Not quite ready for pictures yet - but will be there soon.
Having our annual trip to the seaside in a few weeks, we're hoping it will all be done by then and we can get on with enjoying everything.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

So literally 5 minutes after moaning about the gravel it turned up unannounced and with a very skilful pump truck operator who managed to navigate some bumps to get it pretty close to where needed. We now have also ordered a set of garden furniture - late into the winter sales we got a reduction from £1200 to £400. Now you and I know that no one in the whole wide world ever paid £1200 but I'm pretty sure £400 is goodish deal for two rattan sofas and a table. Plus it fits perfectly and arrives Friday so the question in my mind is whether it will see a sunny day or a snowstorm first.I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
