2) walk some serious mileage.
In 2019 I completed virtual challenges for the ABF Soldiers Charity the 1st one was 50 miles, the same distance from Bletchley Park to London. Every 5 miles logged you got a puzzle to complete. The 2nd was 100km to represent the Western Front distance.
There's also a free 1000 mile challenge :

Look forward to swapping pictures next January.:rotfl:
One tip I've picked up for doing projects like the temperature blanket is that you don't have to do the row(s) every day.
Just have a method of recording the temperatures so that you perhaps do them on a weekly basis.
I've also come across a website called timeanddate.com which details historic temperatures so plan on using this. I'm choosing midday as my base point....whether this is the right way of doing it who knows but it's my blanket so that's what I'm choosing to do.0 -
Sadly, last year was bit of hit and miss.
But hope to do better next year:
The following are my targets for 2020:
Health
- Complete 2020 miles (Fitbit Tracker)
- Lose 10kg and maintain
- Run 5k once a week (every week) - Total- 53 runs
- Learn to swim (have started, but need to continue)
Personal development
- Do MCSA in BI reporting
- Learn Excel macros
- Learn Tableau
- Increase income via promotion / new job
- Read 12 books - 1 a month
- Create LinkedIn profile
Finance
- Pay off debt
- Save £20k
Here is to the new year! All the best everyone :j:beer::beer:0 -

Yes, I thought about that, I use Accuweather and they have a table recording the high and low temperatures each day in a monthly table, although I’m going to try to do it each day if I can. I don’t usually knit in hot weather as I knit on circular needles and don’t want to sit with a blanket on my lap when it’s already hot, so if we have a very warm/hot spell I’ll take a break and catch up when it cools down.
I’m going to do the daily highest temperature for my postcode this year and next year I might do one using the lowest daily temperature do get a blanket with a cooler colour palette for my spare bedroom.
It’ll probably take me the whole year to work out how to post photos, if I can figure it out sooner I might try and include a ‘to date’ photo in my quarterly update...
