Best way to transfer money from India to UK

Hi,
First post here (I think!) so please be kind

I have been exploring the best way to transfer money from Indian banks to UK banks but never really got a perfect answer to that. I have done bank transfers (same bank) from the Indian bank branches to UK bank branches (INR to GBP) using State Bank of India but the fees that needs paying and the cumbersome process makes it not so ideal.

Anyone has discovered a better "money saving" way to do it, I would love to hear about it.

You could try going via Revolut, if they allow INR accounts.

This board is for victims of a company that went bust years ago, taking their money with them - as the Sticky makes perfectly clear.
