  • Positives of the day!
Managed to do a short survey on prolific this morning and am almost at £5  👏🏻

Started a loose change jar - every little REALLY helps!!!

I was thinking of painting the bedroom which is looking a bit tired, it’s white silk and was last painted 6-7 years ago. I mentioned it to a friend and she said to try washing the walls down with warm soapy water, and to use a magic eraser on any scuffs etc!
It only worked!!!! Bedrooms looking very fresh now and it’s saved me money on paint!!

A negative - My poor husbands got a raging toothache and is struggling to sleep. His also dead on his feet at work due to pain and no sleep! He has a physical job aswell so it’s not helpful 🙈
He had dentist on Monday and they couldn’t fix it there and then, so sent him home with antibiotics (no idea why) and he has dentist again on the 25th to get it fixed up but the days are really dragging now for him 😞

If he's been given antibiotics it sounds like he's probably got an abscess, the antibiotics should ease the pain after about 48-72 hours so hopefully should hopefully start working soon.  I'm surprised they didn't drill the tooth to allow the pus to disperse because that would have eased the pressure immediately.

My DH used to get abscesses quite often and always insisted they drill the tooth to ease the pressure as well as the antibiotics which certainly worked for him.

They did an X-ray and said he needs a root canal, they never mentioned an abscess or infection. It was a tooth that’s been previously fixed up after a break.
Maybe that’s what it is then 😢
    Nothing worse than tooth pain!

Ouch. Your other half has my sympathy. There is nothing worse than tooth pain!
  • Ouch sounds like he might have an infection and the antibiotics are to get rid of that before they do root canal. He has my sympathies they are painful.

His come home from work looking awful!
I asked him if the dentist had mentioned an infection or abscess and he said they hadn’t mentioned anything, maybe he wasn’t with it and didn’t take it in!
His called the dentist today to see if they can do it sooner, but they’ve said no, unless a cancellation comes up. 😢

Managed to do 2 small surveys on prolific taking my total to £6.54.
It’s been very slow on there lately! I’ve been on there since 2019 and earned
£163.87 altogether which is fab when you think about it!
That has been spent and paid off debt.
Hopefully it picks up again and I can earn a nice amount this year!

I’ve had another no spend week. Not touched a penny.
Food shop tomorrow, and I have a £10 off on my Lidl app with is exciting! Think I’ll grab some meat to freeze!
I have felt so confident this week.

Having read other people’s diaries and the roll of honour has really helped me too.
There are some amazing people on here, people who have had debts so high I can’t even imagine how hard that must be yet they worked hard and done it!! Just amazing!

  • We had some snow this morning but after 2 hours of a nice thick flurry which settled it then proceeded to rain all morning through to the afternoon and washed it all away 😂

Food shop was successful and I got my £10 off using the Lidl app. I got some meat as planned and now have a fully stocked freezer and my cupboards are full aswell!
Next weeks food shop will be smaller than normal so that’s making me very happy!!!

My husband and I had a conversation this morning about “will we ever have our own house”. Now this hasn’t come up often at all since we came round to the idea it would never happen! He seemed to still want that to happen one day.
I personally can’t see it happening now, age and finances are not on our side 😂
If only we could rewind, and do things differently! 🤔
