I’m too scared too! Don’t think you’re meant to if you use a broker but if nothing by the end of today then I’ll call the broker tomorrow0

Good luck, everyone! I applied for my Santander mortgage on 23rd December. The valuation was held on Monday just gone and Santander are still asking for things (business bank statements as we're a limited company). It's nerve-wracking as we're applying for a let to buy mortgage with Pepper money at the same time as we're going to rent out our current home until the market approves as nothing is selling around here right now.
It feels like this has been going on forever as we first put an offer on a new Bloor home in September 2019 and were doing a part-exchange with them. Just before Christmas, we signed the contracts to exchange and were ready to draw down the mortgage for that house when the builder pulled out of the part exchange for our home, on the day they were meant to sign the contracts their end. You can read the whole sorry story on Trustpilot, look for 'Bloor homes' and my one-star review by 'CM'. So to say moving home has been stressful is an understatement. Anyway, we're back in the saddle with a nicer home by a reputable builder. I'd never deal with Bloor again.
Fingers crossed for all of us. I hope you get some good news soon.0 -
really sorry to hear about your experience, littlecloud ! yes its is indeed nerve wrecking - am i right in guessing your file being pulled for audit hence underwriters are requested more documents ?
as my understanding was once all documents were satisfied then they pass it straight to valuation which is followed by offer if valuation is of satisfactory nature
wishing best news to come soon for all !!!!!0 -
Did you get any reply? i am on same boat my valuation done on 6th jan but still waiting.0
-
No news still. Our valuation was also completed on the 6th. As far as I know everything’s was fine we had the credit checks on 19th Dec I just don’t know why we’re still waiting now we were told Monday 2 working days until the offer. Did you use a broker too?0
-
Yes , my broker saying same thing0

Did you apply a few weeks ago? I really hope we hear today as don’t want another weekend of this. As far as I’m aware there’s nothing else they need last thing they asked was Monday morning why we changed solicitor and they said 2 working days to change it their side. We’ve got a home demo tomorrow to see our house it’s taking the excitement away!0
