Sadly I doubt we'll be able to keep it up all year! I have a side gig lined up which will boost things nicely until May/June, things will slow considerably then.

Last year was the first I set up an official sinking fund for Christmas and the current account is a lot less sparse than normal for January which has also helped.

£261.54 OP made in January, towards my target of £4,222.50. 6% down, another 94% to find...

Having a credit card amnesty for January, February and March (except petrol and food) to help free up cash for OPs. We use credit card for most purchases due to cash back, but recently the additional Amazon and similar purchases have been spiralling out of control...

£100 overpayment this month - some big bills coming up for "nice-to-have" items that I'm feeling a bit guilty about (under-stairs cupboard and electricity supply to the garage, as recently moved into a new-build so these things were missed by the builders. House is a "forever" home, so my thinking is it's worth spending the money to get it right....).

Total up to £361.54 - 8.5% towards my total so I'm already falling behind my target, but hoping to make another OP this month depending just how big aforementioned bills turn out to be! Another £198 takes me under a biggish milestone (£420k), so added incentive to do it!!
