Any haunted houses out there?

I haven't seen any, but my wife swears she's seen one in every house we've lived in.
When she lived at her parents house - "Something in the built in closet kept saying her name, something grabbed her by the legs in bed, children were singing on the landing". I experienced nothing when I stayed there.
When we used to stay at my parents - "there was a bloke standing by the bedroom doorway"
When we lived at the house before the one we live in now, she was convinced she could hear a rocking chair in the living room, the kettle clicking in the kitchen and our toddler son was smiling at someone (she thinks it was the old guy who lived there before us and died a few years ago), but again I didn't see anything.
We've only lived in this house for a few weeks, so I'll just wait and see which spook appears this time.0 -
i am fascinated by this stuff but would love to experience seeing a cost/apparition!0

Yes. Growing up, we lived in a house built over 100 years before. My younger brother who was fiddling often sat in the corner and talked to the walls, repeating the name ‘Poppy’. One afternoon a while later, our neighbour mentioned in passing that a baby had passed in our house and her name was Poppy. We often heard walking up the stairs and once I was lying on my bed and heard a very loud whisper of someone calling my name but no one was there. People often commented on the house and the way it made them feel. Most people felt uneasy when they felt a presence.0

Oh my goodness!! That’s the worst typo ever!! It’s meant to say “toddling” not “fiddling!!” 😂😳0

Its the same with UFOs. I've had a close encounter with one, and in many ways they're often easier to be sure about than ghosts, but it hasn't led me to a conclusion, other than there are things which exist that don't follow the usual rules for physical objects on Earth. Of course, that could mean they aren't necessarily physical, in the 'solid lumps of stuff,' sense.0 -
Every now and again I awake to find the front door unlocked, clothes strewn around and sometimes the remains of half-eaten fast food half way up the stairs.
Not sure about ghosts thought - I think it's caused by evil spirits...0 -
My OH and I have lived with a resident ghost for more than 40 years.
Although we have never seen it, when the wrong bin gets put out, a room left untidy etc, the ghost always gets the blame.
The ghost has a name of course. We call it 'Someone'.
It makes for great marital harmony.

I don't imagine having someone else putting the willies up you on a regular basis for 40 years being very good for marital harmony at all...:rotfl:0
