Tesco pay at pump

Got fuel at Tesco pay at pump on Friday used my bank visa debit card, cost was £51.36, is showing on my internet bank statement in the pending section as £1.00, Any idea why?

Starling Bank will show up £30 if you use ASDA Pay at Pump but that will change to the correct amount pumped within 48 hours or so. Which means if you only intend to buy a tenner of fuel you'll need to make sure you have at least £30 in your Starling account.
