Moral of the story is it's always my fault regardless of absolutely anything.
Just accept it.
Same at work. Any failure whatsoever is my fault, whilst any success is due entirely to fantastic leadership.
Strangely enough, I think that any success is due entirely to my tireless dedication and consummate skill, whereas any failure is due to bad leadershipI want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Now i'm the department manager, any positivity is due to those above me and no longer due to the head of this department :rotfl:0 -
Some pedestrians don't understand they are road users while walking. Pity them and be grateful they're not driving.0

To pick a number out of the air - 5 years, i don't remember the first 15 years being anywhere near as bad as the last 5 years for this. Nowhere near.
Another thing i've noticed - there wasn't the same number of snowflakes back then as there is now. People getting offended by the term 'blackboard' or that they're referred to as a male or female even because they 'identify as' a god knows what these days.
And i'll leave it right there before i upset ... a snowflake0 -

Totally agree on this one! Current wisdom is that the the pace of life is getting faster, but my experience of visiting Tesco yesterday suggests otherwise!0 -

Don’t get me started on supermarkets, else this will end up in the vent forum.
People who stand in the middle of each aisle having a natter. Especially when they have trollies and prams. Or prams that have no kid in it because they’re busy running around getting in the way of everyone as their parent yaps away oblivious. Maybe try standing against something so people don’t have to try and squeeze past you and then ‘accidentally’ hit you with their basket.0 -

Can't say I've had many people walk out without paying attention but definitely with you on supermarkets. I'd say people who stop in the doorway to chat are worse though - but only marginally. Or those who leave their trolley blocking one side and then step away to the block the other while browsing the shelf.
I'd also say those who round corners at full speed, not being prepared for someone coming round from the other direction. But thats not just applicable to supermarkets. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

100%
and 100%!!
I had someone do the doorway thing the other week. I was thinking how stupid must you need to be to think that's acceptable. Standing right in the doorway blocking absolutely everyone.
Speaking of doorways, this will be a bit of a controversial one and how much are we drifting off topic here :rotfl:but smokers who stand in doorways puffing away. Incredibly irritating ... but then i'm a strong anti-smoker. I know the smoker response is - what should we do, step outside and get wet? Well uhh i don't actually care. Maybe quit.
But yeah the corner thing as well. Like you say it's not just supermarkets. That can apply to motoring as well (woohoo we're back on topic again :rotfl:) . I always think i must be strange. Well i know i am but in situations like those i take corners slow as i don't want to hit anyone or be hit - be that walking in supermarkets, driving my car, whatever. If i can't see round it then anything could be there so i'm cautious.
Others seem to think if they can't see anything there then there must be nothing there, foot down and away we go.0 -
