Hello SH.  I'm looking forward to the weekend.  I just watched a feel good film with a glass of wine.  Tomorrow a coffee and croissant outside the local bakers followed by a long walk.  I've got admin to do at some stage.  I hope you get some rest and relaxation.

Thanks - coffee and croissant sounds lovely... I might see if DH is up for going somewhere tomorrow... Need to get out and about!

Hello SH - even better than coffee and croissant is coffee and pain au chocolat.  It was cold sitting outside but very pleasant.  Had a lovely walk looking for bluebells - found some - so vibrant and pretty.  Flask of tea and a bounty bar in the bright sun, although it was not very warm.

Hi SH - funnily enough I thought that the vibrancy of the bluebell colours reminded me of some of your beautiful art work.  Strong and bright and fresh.
It's a lovely feeling having no work tomorrow and even better knowing that my organisation isn't working so there isn't going to be hundreds of emails waiting.  Why oh why do people copy everyone into everything?  I often find myself reading an email and thinking "so what?" Or "why did you need me to know that?"
I've filled my shredder bucket twice this weekend.  Exciting eh?  🙄 lots of papers still left  to sort and shred but at least there's some progress.

New credit card charging period starts tomorrow - nothing spent on credit card today but I need to look at what I've spent in each category over the last month.
My accumulation of marginal gains pot is up to £385 now - I think I'll let it get to £500 and then do something (sensible) with it and start again.
Really pleased with my energy swop - £30 m and s voucher already received, £40 cash back tracked and £60 due back from my previous supplier as I'd overpaid.  Mind you it's so cold at the moment I had the heating on low earlier and the heated aired is on.  Let's hope we can put our scarves and gloves away very soon!

Agree @Blackcats. Our heating usually goes off at the end of March, but it is still on as it has just been too cold.
I had an energy rebate a couple of months ago. I was hoping for a monthly dd reduction too, but I don't think that is likely to happen now.

@foxgloves it felt more like November than May yesterday - wind howling, overcast sky, bitter cold.  I lit 4 candles or as the two Ronnie would say "fork handles" put all the fairy lights back on and snugged down.
got a friend visiting for a coffee tomorrow - it's likely to be very quick to avoid hypothermia.  I found a brownie mix in my cake cupboard (don't remember buying it though) and I've made brownies including the last of the glacé cherries chopped up.  Saved going to the shops and saved money.
I used to love the glacé cherry jar at home when I was a child.  They were kept in the cocktail cabinet section of our wall to wall, floor to ceiling teak effect wall unit -the joys of the 1970's home.  The cherries were for adorning the glass of snowball (advocaat) at Christmas but it was possible to sneak one or two out of the jar without causing suspicion.

I remember eating glace cherries as a child too. Not a fan now though. Love the candles and fairy lights. Weather has been shocking here. I got hailed on and completely soaked while walking our dog.
