Thanks PIP. Rather than feeling sad about my mum I felt very at peace during and after Mass. my mum loved church and her amazing tapestries are on the wall there. Tea and biscuits with her church chums and the Priest afterwards which she would have enjoyed.
not a NSD today but we have enjoyed a delicious Friday night feast using food from our local independent shops.
Main pension money received today - I still marvel that I get money for doing nothing.
credit card paid in full. Priority saving pot is now at target amount so June's savings will go into the next pot on the list. I really think this system works well for me.

Thank you for your kind thoughts about my mum's birthday. I miss her very much but her family has lots of happy memories of her.
brrr it's chilly today back to socks and jumpers sort of weather.
I'm edging closer to the end of the month ready for a budget reset but some spending categories seem to be getting to the end of their £'s a bit ahead of the end of the month. The eating out & fun pot is definitely struggling to keep up with our eating out & fun 🙃. We are looking after 2 grandchildren for the day later this week where hopefully there will be a picnic and fun.
My grocery budget is £10 underspent and the fridge, freezer, fruit bowl and cupboards are rammed full. I'm massively inspired by
@Greying_Pilgrim and their resourceful efforts to achieve a really low spend month. Reading their diary prompted me to look at all the meal making components that I have available. I might try a week in June where I set a small budget for fruit and veg and everything else comes from what I already have.4 -
How on earth is it June already?
have fiddled about with the June budgets or to put it into corporate speak I have scrutinised and signed off each budget line and calibrated for forecast expenditure. There was some underspend last month which I'm happy about.
despite wanting to stray from the priority areas for savings I'm plodding away according to the priority plan.
MSE things - saved £15 on breakdown cover by speaking to a human at the company. Non MSE things - spent £15 on getting the car washed. At least the books balance I suppose,6 -
