Great YS savings there blackcats! And lovely image of you all watching football and cheering from the sides. A kitkat and mug of tea will never get old. Great that Mr BC is also getting into the swing of listing and selling!1

Great ys, mse, and ebbay work. Hope the new plants settle in well 😊
My FD regular saver matures on 1st May and in my head I've been allocating and re-allocating the money over and over. This is an improvement on spending the same money over and over again but I'm even irritating myself now with my dithering. When I opened the account it was for the holiday pot and the house and garden pot so in reality this is where it needs to go. However, I think I will take £300 to share amongst a couple of other savings pots.I enjoyed the 3 year olds birthday party and whilst I was definitely outshone by about 12 fairies, I did a reasonable effort at following instructions and wearing a party dress. DGD's candle blowing wish was to be a fairy princess - why be either a fairy or a princess when you can be both! 3 is such a lovely age.
another item has sold on e bay. Well it's actually 3 things put into a job lot so a trio of unwanted items will be going on their way and £100 will be coming in.2 -
Let's definitely focus on the women's team and not look at the blimmin mens league.
Aw, good for you joining in, sounds lovely. Hope you didn't drop yer Tiffanys in the jelly 😁
£100 extra dosh is a great result, dither over where to put that instead!
Never any harm re-allocating funds if you've got a more updated version of where they'll work besthttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

PIP - I kept my Tiffany's well away from the jelly. Not sure what sort of parties you frequent 🥳
isn't it amazing how pausing for breath, taking time to think and doing some workings out with pen and paper can unscramble some scrambled thinking! I now know exactly how to distribute the proceeds of the maturing regular saver.I realise that I have somehow developed favourite savings pots which is ludicrous but I prefer putting money into holiday savings rather than buildings/contents insurance. So now I have this insight I can re-focus and prioritise and treat all my saving pot babies fairly 🙃1 -
None as sparkly as a small child's fairy princess party!
Excellent work on the mse breakthrough.
Writing with pen and paper I think is seriously undervalued as a really important way of brain and body being connected to come to better, more intrinsic, realisationshttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@LadyWithAPlan, @lucielle and @Makingabobor2 - I somehow feel guilty as if I don't love my children equally 🤷♀️My end of month account tidy up has generated £39 to go to my least favourite but current priority savings pot.
we had a task to do at a local ish town this morning which we did quickly and efficiently as neither of us fancied mooching round shops. Instead we came home via a country park that we have driven past many times but never visited. It's a really nice spot and a great place to take grandchildren.
tea from freezer tonight is spicy bean chilli and some sausages from the butcher. We'll also use up some new potatoes. Grocery budget finishes the month with a £2 underspend!2 -
Pen and paper is the only way! Party sounds utterly wonderful and you are doing amazing with the budgeting and selling old stuff to generate income! Sendiing wishes for a lovely holiday for you guys - think the celebrations will be quite special this year.1
