Thank you for your compliments on the blanket - i enjoyed doing it and it does look effective.

dancercise, shopping, and packing & posting vinted parcels filled up Monday morning.  Popped to the library and borrowed a nice slow cooker cook book.

I received an invite to granddaughter's 3rd birthday party.  She stipulated i could only attend if I wore a party dress and sparkly jewellery 🥳

@dawnybabes - sounds like a good party doesn't it 🥳.  It's actually quite nice to be instructed by a nearly 3 year old to indulge myself with a nice dress and jewellery.

had some good news today that a friend's hubby is cancer free after the last 6 months of treatment and recuperation.  They've tucked themselves away at home whilst going through treatment so we haven't seen them since the Autumn.  We are meeting up next month for lunch and I can't wait to see them,

our new council tax bill arrived today and the increase is about what I was expecting.  I can't see any billing update on our water rates account - not looking forward to that bill.

Water rates seem to be a bit of a nightmare this year.  The marvellous ofwat (note the sarcasm) seem to have allowed them a percentage which they can take by 2030 & some seem to have decided to take it all this year.  Mine has gone up by 27.66%.  I am not amused.

Great news about your friend’s hubby, what a relief for them.

I love how you’ve been instructed to wear your party dress and sparkles by your DGD, what a superstar 🤣

    And your blanket is beautiful.

@badmemory - I am shocked by the % increases on water bills.  I'm a bit sceptical about why our water company doesn't have easy to find info about next year's bill.

yes @Sun_Addict - it should be a fun party though I expect I will be out sparkled by a gaggle of 3 year olds.

we went for a swim this morning and did a few chores at our local shops including collecting MrBC's prescription.

very pleased to have sorted out a niggly finance related task - took about 15 minutes even  I've been cogitating about it for ages and putting it off.  Big ✅
