Haha, not cheating at all. I think some take aways are still open, so it still counts3

Well done on not eating out. Like the 100 circles idea. It's good to build up your EF at a time like this too. I am wanting to grow ours / torn between that and just repaying debt quicker.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Savingholmes - it's a tough choice. The wisdom seems to be that the emergency fund prevents further debt. I'm no expert but I think maybe an emergency fund that would cover an appliance breaking might be useful.I don't have debts anymore but when I did I didn't have an emergency fund and to be honest I didn't really have the self discipline to keep any money I had without frittering it away.I still haven't done a food inventory and meal plan and unlikely to do so before the weekend but I feel quietly confident that I've got a good range of supplies in the house including toilet paper 😄4

Haha, you're doing better than my parents who don't seem to quite understand the idea of shopping once a week. I had to get stuff for them yesterday and Saturday. Saturday afternoon they went shopping and they're going again today! I'm staying well clear!3

Fran, Maybe the novelty of regular shopping will wear off once the reality of lack of stock and queues wears off! perhaps they just missed it whilst they were away having a very long luxury holiday ha ha.
The bills all get paid over the next few days - not complaining, I'm glad I can afford to pay them. It's just the bank balance drops like a stone over a couple of days,
made a delicious (even if I do say so myself) rice pudding using up milk which was at its use by date.4 -
Ooh nice one Blackcats. I do the same "where's my money?!" When the bills go out. But there's more than enough to cover things. The money is going where you've planned for it to go ☺️4

Very busy at work but it feels worthwhile and a project I've been working on for 2 years has been accelerated as it will be useful during the pandemic so I'm proud of that.
moneywise it's ok. Comparatively low spending and I've got the waste not want not mentality currently. I know to many on here that's their natural way of being but it's relatively new to me and I'm enjoying it,
I hope over the next 2 months to move to being a month ahead with my finances and this is feasible because of low spending on what I always treated as normal expenses such as eating out.6 -
What exciting news Blackcats! On both fronts!2

Good to have things you are celebrating. Hopefully we can all do our bit to help others through this crisis.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I made soup today using remnants of veggies. It was very nice and felt like lots it was full of goodness. I use a soup maker so it's also very quick and easy. I also used a tip from these boards and froze the leftovers in a washed out milk carton. In other exciting lockdown news 😄 I sorted through my wardrobe to get some spring clothes out. I've got a few Skype calls tomorrow so I've planned a nice outfit and jewellery for some well being sparkle.5
