We called them Christmas oranges.

Thank you @Sun_Addict and @savingholmes -we are enjoying our holiday.A lot of free fun like a classic car show, beach walks, cliff top walks etc. had breakfast on the beach yesterday and chose an Aloha bowl to bring Hawaii to the isle of Wight. Frozen pineapple sort of slush , passion fruit, bananas and raspberries with granola, açai, nuts and seeds which was yummy.
Hello @tunathe_cat. You remind me that my mum always bought cream soda at Christmas and my children used to call it Christmas lemonade. Actually they still call it that and now their children do too.5 -
That's really sweet when you get family generational sayings like that.

Thank you all - yes indeed we are having a great time. Weather has been variable but hasn't spoiled our fun. actually enjoyed sitting in the conservatory last night with the rain hammering onto the roof.
Lovely lunch in a former railway station today - great food and the most scrummy homemade pink lemonade.
@Makingabobor2 - not long to wait now. I really like having a holiday to look forward to.
back home the gardener is tantalisingly close to finishing and has sent some photos. Looking forward to seeing his progress. Less looking forward to getting the final bill.

@lucielle - hope the bill is what you are expecting. Whilst I've got the money to pay, I rather like seeing it in my bank account.
@Makingabobor2 - it's called Off The Rails in Yarmouth. There's a nice walk along the disused railway track too. You are probably best to book. Highly recommend it as a bit of a quirky eatery with good food. Also recommend Baywatch at St Helen's/Bembridge - very nice spot by the beach.
Glorious sunny day today. Going home tomorrow - I like being on holiday but I don't really mind going home. We will probably have a fair bit of food and drink to take back with us, so hopefully can avoid shopping until Monday. Will balance the books when I'm home.3
