I couldn’t imagine taking my 3 into an eatery. I have sat outside with them but it’s quite stressful.Glad you had a lovely time away. Do tell us what the curry pizza was like.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

@lucielle - I couldn't bring myself to put the curry on my pizza. By contrast our host had chicken jalfrezi, goat's cheese and anchovy pizza 🤢.
a productive start to the week. Although money is being spent it is planned for and will be worth the outlay, however, it feels a bit "eek" to be paying out chunks of money.
we avoided the supermarket today - a combination of couldn't be bothered and keeping some £'s in my purse. Spicy bean chilli and rice from store cupboard ingredients tonight and there will be leftovers either for the freezer or to top a jacket spud.Cashed out £26 from £co (house insurance cash back) and £24 from chase rewards (cash back on spending for the last few months). Added to survey earnings that's £100 to distribute to the Christmas and holiday saving pots.Going to continue watching The Dropout later - it's based on the true story of Elizabeth Holmes who was claiming to have invented a blood testing kit for multiple tests using a drop of blood. She made a fortune, lost a fortune and is currently in jail.5 -
A wise decision on the pizza, it was an interesting topping. That’s a good cash out and yay to feeding the pots.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Thank you @lucielle and @savingholmes - as our income is temporarily reduced until late May it does feel good to put some money into savings.
the Dropout was really good and we stayed up late binge watching. If it wasn't based on a true story we would have said that it was too implausible to watch.
After swimming this morning we did some household chores for my dad including setting up his various lamps in the lounge to work using a remote control. It will save him struggling to switch them all on and off. His lounge is always lit up like. Blackpool illuminations with ceiling lights and lamps which help him because his vision isn't too good. Then home to relax with some music and crochet which was really nice. I made chicken sharwama for dinner and now it's nearly time for the Apprentice.
very windy here - I hope everyone stays safe during this horrid stormy weather.5 -
I hope the storms weren't too bad where you were. Don't think we had them here.
It sounds like you've done a great job on the lighting. The curry sounds tasty.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@savingholmes - yes the remote controls pleased my dad. The trouble is there is always something else on his list of wants and needs - he wants a new table lamp now so that's another job for after Easter. I think I've found something suitable in b n q but can't face going there over the bank holiday weekend.
we spent money on brunch today. We woke up to a lovely sunny day so headed out for a walk and we met not one, but two Crufts winners - felt like a privilege to stroke them although there owner seemed very casual about their achievements. Both were lovely dogs and very well behaved.
I've finalised April's budget planning except for grocery spends. I'm really wanting to be more diligent with spending, recording spending, eating well and avoiding waste. Talking of waste I somehow managed to mess up making Angel Delight tonight - won't be entering Masterchef anytime soon. I didn't read the complex instructions and I used too much milk so it turned into a strawberry milkshake with a thin crust of a more solid texture. We slurped up half tonight and will drink the rest tomorrow.Time for a cuppa and to do a bit of knitting. Another wild Saturday night chez nous.3 -
Your dad’s wants and needs sounds like Mr SA 😬 I didn’t realise you could still get Angel Delight! Used to absolutely love the butterscotch flavour back in the day. There was also Instant Whip which was similar.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I saw an ad recently for Angel Delight ice cream! I used to love the butterscotch flavour way back too, was definitely my favourite.1

You can still get butterscotch - which is my all time fave too. BC - I've done the milkshake thing too... Easily done.
You are supporting your Dad beautifully. The two dogs sound good too.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
