In my wardrobe, some on the bottom and the others on a shelf. I don't have many shoes because I don't have room for them.I used to be seven-day-weekend0

Enough space at the bottom of the stairs for 4 pairs. 2 for hubby, 2 for me. The rest are supposed to live in the wardrobes. Still find hubby leaves his on the hall floor instead.0

Shoe racks, but they're tucked away in a cloak room in the current house, and to open the cloakroom door you have to close the front door so the kids just leave them where they fall <Grrrr...>
My mother refers to the many shoes in her hallway as "the many footed monster"Decluttering awards 2025: 🏅🏅🏅⭐️ ⭐️, DH: 🏅⭐️ and one for Mum: 🏅0 -
Just checked and there are currently five pairs in the hall, all mine. Tidy up day tomorrow. In addition I have a shoe cupboard full in the porch, and decent ones are in their boxes in a wardrobe upstairs. Time for a cull, methinks.0

I purchased a shoe rack today for my hall, it sits under the coats, so is unusable space anyway. I only have a tiny hall, so it's a much better use or space than the large cardboard box we having been using for years!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Ikea kallax unit in the gap we have in the hall due to dog leg stairs. Four boxs. One for me and hubby, one for daughter and one for the boys. Final one for hats etc.
But I am tight with shoes. Boys literally have two pairs each, school and trainers. Wellies are not used much, kept behind the unit in the cupboard under the stairs.
However they may have to move to the porch, planning on getting kittens and will have to put the litter trays there.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉0 -

Me and my partner have a wooden shoe rack in the porch. It's a small one and it still manages to hold 6 pairs. Unless you are the family from Home Alone, a three tier shoe rack would be more than enough.
One here from Dunelm for £7 if you have one close by!

I have a LOT of shoes. All my pairs of flats are stored in one of those over door pocket hangers, other shoes in boxes in my wardrobe and the hall cupboard.0
