Buyer not paid and wrong contact details

Despite a few e-mails and invoices an item won last weekend has not been paid for, nor has the winning bidder contact me to let me know payment is on the way. Also the telephone number given is wrong (blantantly a made up one).

How do I start the non paying bidder process and how do I report the incorrect tel number. The person is still active as they have been buying and paying for quite a few things in the last week or so.

Cheers jaffa30, need some more advice from everyone, they've now contacted me after I threatened with a -ve and a NPB strike and said eBay told them not to buy the item off me as other people have had problems with this item off me??? I've sold about 10 of these and had no problems what-so-ever, do eBay do this? Or are they trying to hoodwink me? I'm sure if buyers would have had problems they would have contacted me and not eBay??? HELP!

If ebay had a problem with you or your items you would have received a 'warning' from them. Ebay only send the 'don't deal with this seller' email to buyers when a seller is NARUd for whatever reason.

Assuming there are no problems with your account then the buyer is either trying it on or very very confused.

You could try replying politely that you believe the buyer has you muddled up with someone else as your records indicate that ebay are allowing the NPB process to proceed (and this wouldn't happen if you had problems), then he may want to check his information in more detail.

My only worry here though is your statement " they've now contacted me after I threatened with a -ve and a NPB strike". Depending on the way you worded your email they may have complained to ebay that you were threatening them with neg feedback which is, strangely enough, a reportable offence. However, if your email was just a generic email pointing out that you are starting the NPB process which may result in a strike on the buyers account and a negative, that should be OK.

If ebay were to get involved they would pull your auctions ( of these items ) .
IMHO i think they are trying it on
carry on with the NPB and report them for there false detials
a word of advice dont threaten them with - feedback as they can report you to ebay for threatening a neg feedback

Cheers both, didn't threaten really, just advised that I would start the NPB process and leave feedback accordingly. I did ask them to send me the e-mail eBay had sent, but they've gone quiet now, I'll start the process anyway. I thought that they may have got confused with the generic text in the eBay e-mails that says something about don't take up offers of a purchase outside of an auction as you're not covered but the way their e-mail is worded it's more like they're trying it on!

Has the buyer responded to the FVF. if not it will take 7 or 10 days ( cant remember which as i am a lil hung over )
When they reply or dont you will get a blue tick saying eligible,
then click on view dispute then close it and your get your fees back
