  • I'm really looking forward to joining you in 2020:j but before I do please can someone clarify a couple of things for me? It might be just me being a bit 'thick' so please forgive me if the information has been included elsewhere already:o

    1. Do we have to declare a target figure? Being a newbie and also having challenged myself to spend as little as possible in 2020 my account balance might change very little from week to week once all my DDs go out on 1st month. I'd like my final total to be a, hopefully, pleasant surprise;) but haven't a clue of even a ballpark figure at this stage.

    2. If we round our savings down to the nearest £5 or £10 I can't see how people have declared a target of such as £1000/£1800. According to my shaky maths:o the maximum amount each week would be £9.99 and x 52 weeks would be a maximum of £ 519.48 a year!

    Hi Finally Solvent,

You don't have to declare a target but it's nice to see how you are progressing over the months and year.

You round down as much as you want so if you had £10.56 you can transfer £5.56 or if you had 1056.56, you could transfer £56.56.

It's totally up to you much you wish to transfer. You can change your target as much as you want over the year via the update form so don't worry if you set it too high or low.

Welcome to the challenge, you can have #6
