Wednesday has been another dry day. DH & I both stayed up all night as we were expecting a delivery of sleepers, compost & topsoil from W*ckes - between 7:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m. We were both flagging by 5:00 a.m. 😱 but the delivery truck with crane turned up at 7:55 a.m. & we were both awake 👏 Fascinating watching the crane & we got two free pallets 🥳. We unwrapped the pallet with the compost & topsoil & binned the polythene wrapping ASAP as the bin was being emptied later & re-stacked the compost & topsoil on the lawn (500L& 100L respectively) Then spent the next 20 minutes moving the sleepers into the garage - only 9 of them but 6’ long & 10” by 5”. Then we needed a rest as we were pooped 😉 Coffees & naps on & off for the next few hours. Hm soup & sm crusty bread for lunch. Then we spent the next couple of hours moving the pallets, compost & topsoil through the house onto the patio. Also emptied, vacuumed out, cleaned & moved one garden box onto the patio. Then re-stocked with bird feeders, cleaning equipment, base for the garden umbrella which was dismantled & cloche poles. Then moved the drum composter + packed up the garden umbrella & stowed it in the shed. Meanwhile DSis went out to sm. As the rain held off I also watered the vegetables.
Dinner was cold lamb, oven chips & garden peas for DH & DSis. My dinner was lo roasted vegetables with a couple of scoops of soup covered with foil & heated up in the oven at the same time as cooking the chips + a few slices of salami as my meat fix 😉 Scrumptious 😋

You have been busy garden_girl_2 👏 Lots out, lots of pennies in, home made jam, full freezer & persuading DH to get rid of a bicycle 😉 You are definitely on a roll 👏
Excellent work newlywed 👏 One in, three out is a great decluttering ratio 👏👏🙂
Tomorrow, weather permitting, DH & I will do some more work in the garden + DH will do the weekly shop. I WILL sort out the last bit of admin with the bank 😉BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. Decluttered my old car and got a new one. That did mean I had to get rid of all the stuff I had accumulated in the car including somehow nuts. There seemed to be a lot of nuts left in the boot from I have no idea where. I have also got rid of the car seat and replaced it with a booster seat.
Slowly but surely the house is starting to look so much tidier. Even the car. xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x9 -
Decluttered Facebook groups and deactivated account. Need to declutter my forum time too as I read too much random stuff about the problems of strangers. So will be more selective and make sure what I click on isn’t just me being nosey!!Bookmarked threads also updated... this one stays though, along with others that are of benefit to me!
next stop will be email newsletters.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?9 -

Thursday is currently dull or should I say rather dark - I have had to put the lights on ☹️ Very overcast but as yet no rain 🤞 Currently clearing down programmes from the planner but do have plans to sort out a few things 😉😉 DH & I have finished the hm soup, so I need to raid the freezer for bits & pieces to make the next one which will fit neatly into the ongoing plan to clear down the freezers & defrost AGAIN ☹️ DSis is in her room watching N*tfl*x. DH is just getting ready to do the weekly sm shop.

Good work nannywindow 👏 The problem with the COVID situation is that everything plastic appears to have become single use again - undoing all the hard work & good intentions re saving the planet ☹️ Re your washing - no good deed goes unpunished hence the ironing pile 😉
Congratulations on the ‘new to you’ car Nicnak 🥳 I have heard it said that a garden is an extra room but I think that also applies to a car, so excellent decluttering 👏

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted here since February but I do like this thread and had the occasional read.
I decluttered over lockdown and managed to sell quite a few items that were getting in the way including DS's old games console, games and loads of books! We had a big declutter of his room and it now is very teenagery, which is great for a 13 year old.
I have last week taken 3 large bags to charity shop, plus have already started another I will take this week.
It is like shovelling snow in a blizzard here, I got rid of so much but you would think I am lying if you came to visit!9 -

Poor DH ☹️ he got soaked coming back from the sm ☹️ but at least I won’t have to water the garden 😉
Dinner was hm cottage pie mix from freezer, with half a bag of mixed vegetables added & topped with cheesy mash + green beans. Delicious 🤤 but the beans were undercooked ☹️ (As you can tell I did sweet f.a. 😔)

Well done TC77 👏

Oh dear, we dropped off the front page ☹️Friday is a dark, dreary, wet day ☹️ Hopefully we will get an Indian Summer - we have put the garden umbrella away so that should help 😉
I got up very late today 😔 but have come to the conclusion better that than having a nap in the afternoon 😉 as I have just read about a study that says if you have more than an one hour nap you shorten your life expectancy 😱 Total rubbish I imagine, but good as an excuse for late rising 😂
Anyhow, I have had a teensy, weensy burst of activity 😉 Made bacon sarnies for DH & DSis. Peeled all the hg apples given to me by neighbour MrG & half have been cooked. Picked a few puny sticks of hg rhubarb which have also been cooked. Will make a large portion of crumble mixture & freeze some.DH has blitzed all my peelings & fed the worms & is now in the garage tidying/faffing 😉
I hope everyone is well & that it is just the weather that has lowered all our moods. I just ‘vant to be alone’ & snuggle & eat junk food 😱 but that isn’t going to happen so I need to gird my loins, capture my mojo & get on with it 😉
