I know what you mean Primrose. Not sure how to unsubscribe from a specific thread but if you go to 'edit your profile'  then 'notofications' you can stop ALL notifications of threads you are in by unticking that section. All the best.

Thanks bit by bit but where do I find Edit Your profile?
I HATE this new forum set up.  It was obviously designed by computer nerds who have just put in signs and symbols everywhere without adequately explaining what they mean and there are lots of technical questions like "How do I unsubscribe from a thread" which they haven't included.

Top of page, right hand corner click on Profile, then click Edit Profile, left hand side third line down click Notification Preference, gives you several options.

Top right of the heading bar is a silhouette of a head in a white circle, click there and you get an options banner of which edit is one. Click that and it takes you to your personal profile.

Found that. Thanks.  But what does it mean when it says Notify me when people write on my wall?  

What,s a wall?  A new thread you have written?
i u derstand an email notification but how does a pop up work? 

I feel stupid asking these questions. Used the old format without issues where on every occasion you got the option in a notification email to unsubscribe from a thread but don't understand this new format at all.

Little done here, overwhelming nos of hospital/medical appt for both DD and me in last 10 days and next week! took leave for some appt today. Going to have another big effort before teenager goes back to school in a couple of weeks.

Hi, most of my old pension literature has been decluttered now.  Kept some of it thought necessary still.
