savvy said:Hey all, hope everyone is well!I was doing well with decluttering until lockdown hit and I lost my business overnight
Like all of you I lost the charity shop and local tip otptions, but not only that one of my dogs suddenly went lame in the back legs
So I've spent the last 4 months back and forth to specialist vets and rehabilitating her. On top of that a floor went through in the utility area and that's taken up all my time in the last month, as well as trying to learn to grow veg, apply for financial help and study haha.
So not too much going on with decluttering, just 62 items over lockdown were extracted from the house.....and some items including building rubbish have arrived IN the house arrggg.580/2020September 2017 Debt = £25330

The focus this week needs to be on getting the hallway in my flat cleared as the communal stairs are going to have some plaster removed and replaced probably next Monday. I can then seal the door to try and keep the dust out... so if I can clear anything else in the meantime, all well and good. And I actually have 6 hours work tomorrow‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Wow Savvy, its amazing you got anthing done. I know people who one of those things would be a cause for them to fall off their perch. Hug from me too.
Thankyou Mrs SD. I have been trying for 5 years and grown as may carrots in all of that time. I know I am not following the traditional rules of growing them but that didn't work for me.
My friend gave me a load of stuff today to go to the refugee centre. This means I will have to get have to get my finger out and take the stuff I have sorted already and more. I needed a kick in the pants.
Worked at the CS today. Hot people getting shirty because we can't take anything else today. Most people are fine though.

Tuesday has been hot, hot, hot 🥵 uncomfortably so when in full motorbike gear ☹️
We set off at 10:15 in the heat, travelled north for exactly an hour when it rained for 5 minutes, then back to searing heat 🥵 stopped at OK Diner for brunch. Uncomfortably hot 🥵 & arrived in Lockerbie just after 6 p.m. after 2 small stops - one for petrol & one for a drink. We are staying in the Townhead Hotel. Car park has new tarmac + 2 electric car charging stations. We each had a shower & changed for dinner - we got the last table but had to wait until 8:30 p.m. 😱 Several beers later we were shown to our table. DH had a pumpkin & chilli soup to die for, then steak & champ. I had steak pie, champ & vegetables. Delicious 😋 🤤 Lots of chat & beer then in our room by 10:00 p.m.Strangest sights of the day - a dead (Apparently undamaged) deer in a central reservation & later on a fluorescent pink trug also in a central reservation - bizarre 🙄
No decluttering apart from gallons of sweat 😆
Well done TC77 👏 sorry I missed you on my previous posts. Well done on the new decluttering 👏

Morning from a very hot place indeed, it's reading 31 on the outside thermometer at this time of day, I think today might be a bit of a trial and keep hoping for a decent thunderstorm to see off the humidity but to no avail so far.
We had such a lovely day with the boys yesterday Mrs SD, they are great fun and just a joy to be with so we played with the farm, the cars, went for a walk and came home for lunch, played with the farm again, did some craft, did some stencils and colouring, played chasing bubbles in the garden and then they settled down with the home made blackboard and chalks in the garden room to be artistic because it got too hot to be running round outside. They ended up playing in the lounge with the Sylvanian Families nursery which had been their mums when she was the same age so sweet to see active roughty toughty boys cooing over the baby Sylvanians, tucking them into cradles and giving them minute bottles of milk, so, so sweet.. They went on to see my other DD after they left us and made up for the sweetness by having a crazy time in the big paddling pool with DDs two slightly older stepsons and ran off what was left of their energy having 'boy fun'. A brilliant day to have in the memory bank for us and hopefully for them too.
It's much too hot for dehydrating today but I have an excess of tomatoes and cucumbers so todays de-clutter will be making some Scandinavian cucumber pickles which only need slicing, salting and vinegaring, no heat involved and the tomatoes will go in the oven on low and dry enough to go into oil in the fridge to be like the 'sunblush' ones you can get from deli counters and the range has very good insulation so the kitchen won't get hot with the oven on. I'm almost out of jars, all I have left is some new small clip tops so I'll have to plead on the village notice board and see if anyone has spares they'll part with as the preserving season is barely begun.7 -
Hi everybody. MrsSD, saw your message last Sunday thanks. Sorry for the delay as my routine has been very hectic; decluttering the garden in particular. Concerning my pension literature, I have reduced the pile considerably. Some of it which is plain in parts has been kept for scrap paper that will be used as note paper. Also some explanatory literaure e.g. newsletters have gone in the council (paper/cardboard) recycling bin. The more personal and financial based information is what remains .9

Didn’t sleep particularly well last night - very, very warm. Woke at 3:00 am, 6:00 a.m. & then got up 8:00 a.m. We packed our bags, then went down to breakfast. Already bright, sunny & very warm - the temperature climbed whilst we were having breakfast 😱 DH had a full Scottish breakfast & I had scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on toast with a round of toast & marmalade. We also had coffee, orange juice & water. Back to our room (4), last bit of packing done, then loaded bike, DH paid the bill & I had a last bathroom visit. We were on the road by 9:30 a.m. It was hot, hot, hot 🥵 again - uncomfortably so but we will moan when we are back in London 😉 Lots of landmarks photographed today.
We went around Glasgow, past Loch Lomond - noticeable temperature drop into the mid 20’s but sooo pleasant. We stopped at a Morrison’s for petrol, had coffee & ice cream in The Greenhall Country Cafe in Blantyre.Wildlife: sheep, cattle, horses, alpacas, goats, a pheasant, house martins, ducks, geese, hawks, butterflies & a brightly coloured rhinoceros - Ok that last one was only a life size model 😆
sight of the day: signage on a van that read “Best Scotch Beef, from Wales” - I kid you not 🤣
We are staying at The Lodge on the Loch, Onich. Our room overlooks the Loch.
DH booked it as a surprise - we spent 2 nights here in September 1995 😉 I won a competition with Paterson’s Shortbread - 2 nights, 2 breakfasts, one dinner & a taster session of various Scotch whiskeys. A claw foot bath provided us with an entertaining 10 minutes each - quite high off the ground & we are not spring chickens 😉 Anyway, we did manage without any mishaps 👏Dinner was scrumptious 😋 We shared a salmon & dill fishcake starter, DH had a Wagyu burger & chips, I had salmon fillet, boiled potatoes & a side salad. We finished off by sharing a Cranachan Cheesecake with whipped cream. We were in 7th heaven - the food was divine & by sharing a starter & dessert we were comfortably full 😉 Each had a couple of beers & were up in our room by 9 p.m. - the bar closed at 9 😱
1479 - 1480 Drinks cans & bottles - Binned ☹️ no recycling bins ☹️
Sounds absolutely brilliant boazu 🙂 and what a lovely day to have in the memory bank 👏 You are teasing now - sun blush tomatoes 😋 & Scandinavian cucumber pickle sounds interesting. You could also try Freegle etc - bound to be people decluttering jars 😉
Great work dannie 👏 No shredding or pyromancy (telling the future using fire) - I had a different meaning in mind but the part of me that believes in magic rather likes the idea of telling the future by ‘reading’ fire & surely financial paperwork would have been great 😉😂
I digress, sorry 😔BE KIND. STAY SAFE. BREAK THE CHAIN. SAVE LIVES.MrsSD ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🏅1480/2020Be Kind. Stay Safe. Break the Chain. Save Lives. ⭐️2025 Savings Pot Challenge: As a monthly amount, running total = £379.00
