So we have received the following reply today.

    [B]Good Morning,

We acknowledge receipt of your request.

As a data controller, UK CPM has a legal obligation to verify the identity of individuals making a request relating to personal data.

For this purpose, we have an online request form that's quick and straightforward. Here's how to find it:

    1. Open our website Privacy Notice https://www.uk-carparkmanagement.co.uk/index.php/privacy

    2. At the bottom of the page, click on the option relevant to you

    3. Near the bottom of the page, in the section 'Exercising your rights', is the link to the request form

However, where we have insufficient information to verify your identity we'll refuse the request in order to protect the personal data we process.

You have the right to complain to the ICO at any time, here's the link to its website: https://ico.org.uk/

Please note, we have 30 days to respond to your request.

    Kind Regards,

After visiting their website they try to get you to fill out a form which you can’t submit unless you state you are the keeper of a vehicle or the driver.

Just wondering what step to take next as I know that I never want to tell them who is the keeper of the driver as far as I’m aware.

An update and some more advice needed if possible.

So we’ve filled out the form on the website for the SAR however we are still yet to receive anything.

We are still getting letters from Trace, the latest is from the “Trace legal company” saying if we don’t pay within 14 days they will issue as county court claim.

Where do we stand if UK Car Park Management don’t reply and we do actually get issued a county court claim?

Should we respond to Trace saying we have issued a SAR with UKCPM? Or continue to ignore them?

Where you stand is where everyone else stands when they get a court claim

You issue a reminder SAR to ukcpm giving a further 7 days to comply

If they fail to do so , you report them to the ICO

You continue to ignore Trace (nobody here cares about debt collector letters , neither should you)

Concentrate on a SAR reply and, or a complaint to the ICO

You are standing on second base awaiting delivery of a court claim , which is where you have been standing for months and months

    No, do not do that.

As advised earlier, send them a reminder. Give them seven days to respond and if they don't manage to do that then report their failing to the Information Commissioner's Office.

As above , it's a reminder with 7 days notice , not a SAR with 30 days notice, that's already been done

Try to be clear in your posts
