TSB keeps on giving

Options
I was mildly affected by TSBs internet banking issues last year, made a complaint and got a standard £25 compensation, which was fine for me, though the impacts on individuals with only one current account or small businesses must have been significant.

Around a month ago I received a letter saying that they'd reviewed their complaints process and determined I was due additional compensation, this would be paid into my account . I have switched this account so thought it would simply be credited but then received another letter last week stating that they couldn't credit and enclosed a cheque for £122. Very nice of them so I banked it a few days ago.

Today's post contained another letter from TSB stating that I was due £125 compensation and enclosing a further cheque in this amount.

I certainly wouldn't want to run a single main current with them but their systems appear very disorganised, no wonder they have incurred the losses they have and will be interesting to see who wants to take them on as sabadell look to withdraw.

Now I regret not have been their customer :)

For that amount of cash I'm OK to suffer IT meltdowns on a monthly basis :D

I think its now time for TSB to compensate all of those who, like me, were mildly affected at the time but didn't complain, rather than pay additional sums to those who did:mad:

Yes it was a worrying time, I wish I'd done the same, I couldn't get my £500 in and out very easily.:cheesy:

Well, I'm waiting for a new switch into TSB having switched an old account out and switched a new one in around a month ago.

Still haven't done the quidco offer so that another £50 odd, so they might keep on giving even more!

Yes, us legacy multiple account holders had to just bite our lips in case our complaints high lighted the excess accounts (earning 5% or later 3%) & got closed down inline with their Ts&Cs.. :o
  • I just received a letter this morning telling me I will be receiving an additional ~£74 in my account. Totally unexpected and out of the blue, but still a nice surprise.

I shall be checking my account daily until it lands now. :D

TSB are awarding additional compensation to anyone who originally received less than the minimum £150 (£100 + £50 expenses) once the compensation tiers were established.

In addition they are reviewing complaints that were awarded the lower tier but could have been given the next tier up (£250 + £50 expenses).

Are you sure it's 'anyone', as in 'all TSB customers'? As I have received £0 to date, and I am not expecting to get anything, either.
