Thanks so much
You just need to state what your debt target is, this doesn't have to be your total debt, just a target you would like to achieve this year.
Once you have been assigned a number, you just need to update the thread with your running total in a big bold font.... for example.

Happy new year everyone!
Please sign me up to clear £20,000. This is a combination of credit cards and loans we have taken for work on our house, a car and there's a bit of Christmas in there too.
Hopefully I'll be able to clear a bit more but more importantly (well probably not) I'm determined to not re use the cards even though our house still needs loads of work doing. It will have to wait until we are straighter and preferably have savings.
Card cutting up ceremony needed I think. Any tips on how to pry them out of DH's wallet? Pay your debts off by Xmas 22 #TBC - £0/15k

Hi All,
I'm really impressed with the large amounts people are paying off.
Can I have some advice please on how I can clear more of my money quicker - so many people are doing very large amounts - How are you all doing this? I totally appreciate everyone has different budgets. I am a single mum so money is tight anyway.
What I'm doing so far is...
decluttering - selling stuff on eby and local selling groups.
I have gone through my bills and reduced any that i can - i do this anyway!
I have allocated myself a set pocket money that i am allowed to spend to restrict my outgoings, but still have a 'life' currently that is 100 but I'm thinking that could be reduced.
I am doing a savings challenge - 365 day challenge. using either spare change or pocket money to do this - every time i get to 50 i am using to pay off the debt!
I have netflix - wondering whether to cancel this - me and my DS use this for film mainly.
What other things could I do? - most of the ideas i have used have come from all of your fab posts so far!Declutter 2020 - 267/2020 :j

I am doing mine with a combination of overtime (dont know if that is an option for you, I am a single parent too so I cant do too much but I am trying) and TCB, I use it for everything I buy, such as insurances. Then when I get a payout I am paying it off my debt.
Every £ paid off is a £ closer to debt freedom, thats how I see it.£2 savers club #33
