  • Hello muppets et al,
I have realised that I might have over-calculated the amount that I have to overpay but that I can't be sure until I get to the paperwork to recalculate the amount.

    Anyway, I repaid £69.02/£5069.01 today.

I did this mostly to get myself under the £4800 barrier to £4799.99 before the New Year (can't afford to superstitously clear *all* my debts before the New Year so this is the next best thing).

I realised that I need to get my emergency fund back to £1000 from £208 so I probably won't be paying off much for the first few months until I get that back in place. It really did serve its purpose for me at the end of last year and I need put it back in case something else requires it in the near to medium-term future.

    Happy New Year everyone!

I spend an insane amount of time wondering if I am doing it right, sometimes I remind myself that I am doing my best....and that is enough
  • I'd like to join please!

Paying off £6000 this year will take me very close to debt-free - I'll set this as a minimum with a 'stretch goal' of the total (around £9k).

Any number will do! Thanks all :T
  • Sorry amendment already can I change my target already :p. I have added it all up and my total to be debt free is #82 £5134.66 so this is what I will be aiming for, this is a min of £427.89 per month.
    Many thanks xx

Pay Off Debts by Xmas 2025 debt £0/7400
  • Happy New year people!

I am so looking forward to this challenge :):)

I am paying myself back all the money I have wasted, have been in debt a long time and am determined not to let it ruin my future. .....so whilst it isn't an official debt I am treating it as if it were, I really so owe myself.

my overall aim is 27,000 pounds. I have saved only 3000 this year (with 1000 in emergency fund). My aim this year is going to be 10,000. It was going to be six but this is an emergency!

I want to finish the year with 5400 in my H2B and 10,000 in general savings. that would be amazing.

    Good luck everyone. XXX
