Awesome Muppets I love looking at page 1. Do you count those people who have paid nothing off at all in our targets - we shouldn't? Considering everything that is going on in the world I think everyone is doing awesome even if they only pay a few quid each month. Well done everyone

I do count them each month as im doing the updates, just incase them comeback. When I get to do the finaly update of the year I remove all the members who have not updated at all.

Target for this year hit!  Working out my target for next year now!  Would love to clear it all next year but feel it might be a bit of a stretch.

    Yaaasss Congrats

Morning Everyone #030 in the house ....drop the mike this is for the last time!
I could not wait till 8th Dec for the DD to go out,  so I re did my excel sheet and saw I could afford to pay it off. So I have paid it off this morning! WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!! That's £492.50 gone today. Cannot wait to call on Tesco CC on Tuesday and request the account to be closed for good.
January my debt was £10, 044.33 its now a big fat ZERO!!!!!
May 2019 my DH had £19,000 odd worth of credit card debt...we felt we were being swallowed up by it.
I made good progress using bank switches and 0% overdraft deals and then transfurring most of the debt into my name for the 0% deals. However, this MSE forum made me set goals and keep to them. I am lucky that I have a secure job, but not going out, no drinking, very few take a ways and no travel have really helped with the debt busting.

So its wine o clock tonight for me!

I will check in at the end of Xmas to see how we have all done.
    Keep up the good work!
     Big thanks to Muppets, !!

Im so pleased for you :) congrats

  • Over £420,000 that is really awesome especially this year. I've faulted a bit but paid off some. Well done everyone even if you've only paid off a small amount. I am beyond excited about a new year and a new target and determined to get it paid off, which possibly says a lot about me and my lack of social life at the moment.  When you see the figures like this it becomes doable and before these threads, I'd lost hope in terms of seeing an end to it.  Have a Great Christmas everyone or at least a rest from the worry of this stuff. See you on the other side. Muppets if we can keep the same number I'd like to. I'll do my figures for the new thread for what I hope will be the last time. xxx

Thanks so much muppets :) Here's to 2021 and more debt clearance!

My final update for the year. Another vet bill knocked my final tally by £200 :s but still really pleased. It's the first year in a long while where I've kept on top of my finances the entire time B)

    #34  £1439/£2750

Maybe need a more realistic target for next year though!

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year (under the circumstances). Stay safe xx
