Morning Everyone #030 in the house ....drop the mike this is for the last time!
I could not wait till 8th Dec for the DD to go out, so I re did my excel sheet and saw I could afford to pay it off. So I have paid it off this morning! WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP!!!!!! That's £492.50 gone today. Cannot wait to call on Tesco CC on Tuesday and request the account to be closed for good.
January my debt was £10, 044.33 its now a big fat ZERO!!!!!
May 2019 my DH had £19,000 odd worth of credit card debt...we felt we were being swallowed up by it.
I made good progress using bank switches and 0% overdraft deals and then transfurring most of the debt into my name for the 0% deals. However, this MSE forum made me set goals and keep to them. I am lucky that I have a secure job, but not going out, no drinking, very few take a ways and no travel have really helped with the debt busting.
So its wine o clock tonight for me!
I will check in at the end of Xmas to see how we have all done.
Keep up the good work!
Big thanks to Muppets, !!

That is awesome Bizzywizard. I started this journey with around 18k if debt. Sadly along the journey my fellah died and it’s been tough but I’m down to my last 8k. I sometimes think we need those who’ve done it to stay on the forum to advise. Number 4 checking in for pay day at the end of November! Paid of a bit less than usual due to Christmas and one thing and another. But I still managed to pay off £756.81 this month. That brings my total to:
£11908.32/£13214=90.1%Had my total amount of debt stayed the same, I reckon I might have just reached my target by the end of the year. But I’ve just received another huge solicitor bill (making my new target for this year £17214) so I’ll be joining this group for next year with a target of around £4K and hopefully be debt free by summer instead.3 -
