Just a little off piste, but it did make me laugh...
A chap e-mailed a company stating that he was interested in purchasing a Belfast sink, for the advertised price of £30 including fittings. He want on to say that he was not one of those people who insisted on buying something for the advertised price, even when it is clearly wrong, but as he was taking the trouble to point out that the advertised size of the sink was also wrong ( as it would be far too small!) he hoped that they would honour the price as a reward for his warning.
The company e-mailed back confirming that the price and the size were correct, as it was a miniature sink for a dolls house.0 -

Well they haven't replied beyond that initial email, but we did receive the pots today. I think that means we are in the clear then?
Nope. If it's a clear pricing error (as in this case) they can still insist on the payment or the return of the goods as the contract is considered void. They've informed you the price wasn't correct so you can't even claim ignorance on this one.
Personally in your shoes I wouldn't be using the pots for the moment.0 -
Agree with the above about not using them for now - just in case. Please be aware though that (if they want the pots back), they must cover all costs involved in their return - it was their decision to still send them.0

Got an email reply today, "We would like to confirm that we will honour the pricing, on this occasion, and no further action will be taken."

I've also had the message that they will be honouring the origin price - obviously very pleased, but slightly concerned that they want a direct bank payment as the original order has been cancelled and I need to pay again. Clearly a direct bank payment does not give consumers the same protection as a debit/credit card or a PayPal payment.0

Tbh, if they're honouring the price without a fight...I'd be inclined to agree unless I had purchased something that had a commercial unit price over £100 and used credit card.
Chargeback is only valid for 120 days and paypal is even shorter - so would only be of use for a very limited period. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
