What I don't understand is why, after asking you to call them, she then called herself the next day.
If she was not planning to call why did she write down the number and surely the letter contained a reference or something to quote?0 -

I take it that when you spoke to them you went through some form of security? So how did your mother manage to do the same?
Any voice recordings will show they were not speaking to the same person.
You certainly have breached Argos T/C by submitting a application in someone else name. How Argos deal with this is in their hands.
They could involve the police. As it is a fraudulent application. They could log this with CIFAS which would ruin your mother in terms of getting new accounts. If they now know who you are then they could do the same to you.
As far as accounts go Family means NOTHING
I think the best thing you can do is pull back from this.Life in the slow lane0 -
Your Post #10:
" I applied for it for my mother but she was going to let me use it my credit isn’t the best"
Your Post #14:
"The reason for the call was something about a fraud mark on her file but that was from her bank along time ago somebody from a different country tried to use her card but she had that sorted out"
Two stories that may provide a reason why you and your mother may struggle with credit issues in the future.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
