    Thanks

I have a 24" led model mentioned start of thread.
Trying to source stand and bracket
Think it's going to be simpler to purchase a new monitor maybe +19-21"

Back of current monitor is squared for small screw holes
Bottom of monitor looks as though some sort of base stand could be inserted.

Have you confirmed that the one you're buying DOESN'T come with a stand?
Searching for your model number quickly brings up the Acer website which shows the specs. Unhelpfully, that does not include the VESA mount specs. There are 4 screw holes on the back, and all you need to know is the distance between them horizontally, and vertically. It'll be 100mmx100mm, or something like that. I can't imagine any VESA mount designed for a small monitor that wouldn't fit.

I don't think the OP is buying - OP already has the monitor.

@OP - measure the distance between the 4x screw holes on the back of the monitor. That determine the VESA mount system you need. The link in post #14 is universal and can be used for your monitor.

Thanks you after a short discussion with seniors in office this afternoon.
I've been advised against going to any expense
Unfortunately office isn't holding any additional IT hardware.
I did view a very reasonable monitor via e-bay this afternoon.
Though I'lll try and measure to back of screw plate anyway.
Are those VESA brackets not screwable into my wall i.e. can they be fixed to monitor back plate and either clamped onto a desk or stand on a desk.

    Thanks

P.s. vga to vga cable is going to be a couple of pounds -which is nice, can't beleive I found a female to female in my cupboard though one or two vga adaptors for pennies can sort that or I can purchase the correct one with pins as mines doen't have the pins I think the pin ones are male type sockets.
Currently I'm going to try one or two calls to and from office next week to make sure line is clear especially audio.
Think I'll use iphone +AirPods which reminds me I've to switch voicemail off at least when I'm working from Home.

Thanks mser's that will be iphone AirMeasure app in use this evening.

    Hi,

there are at least three different standard VESA sizes, measure before you buy. some monitors like our HP have conversion plates at the back.

If the stand slides take into account the weight, and how easy it would for your animal/kid/colleague/friends etc. to knock it over

Thanks mser's this is what I call a No Brainer as it could allow home dual screen laptop/monitor setup when required, not quite going to the expense of 50 pounds monitor -which on eBay was very tempting.

    Vesa bracket
    vga-vga cable
    lcd power cable
Ordered tonight, hopefully trial home office next week.
I'll delay table+chair until I know this setup is suitable.
