    stocks might be low

    if 50" is too big.

it might be if i can get a refund for the faulty tv we have but if they offer a replacement it then it would be argos

No problem, just buy a plug in streamer https://www.roku.com/en-gb/ and you can have the lot, including any that may turn up later

The Now TV hardware you can get is just a repackaged Roku box/stick.

Your buying the Roku itself just cuts out a middle man so to speak, you should be able to install Now TV app from the App Store on it and sign in in the normal way.

Not all TVs run Now TV, but the vast majority will run Netflix, YouTube and Amazon, though as time passes, technology changes and the apps all drop out of supported use. It's cheaper at that point to add a Fire Stick or whatever the equivalent is at the time when that point happens...

Forget the Bush....They are the sort of TV you buy for kids room or the caravan.
Go with the Samsung and enjoy.

This shouldn't be your deciding factor. You can get all the smart functions and apps with a £20-30 Amazon fire stick / NowTV box / Roku. And it would be future proof too, unlike most low end TVs that won't get updates after 1-2 years.

If anything at that price point I would recommend looking for a dumb TV and add one of the above mentioned sticks/boxes, as the hardware and performance of the build-in TV "smart" is likely to be abysmal (if the old 32" Sony in the kids room is anything to go by)
I'm also on the look out for a new TV, are there still 'dumb' TVs to be had? All the ones Ive seen are smart. I'd rather get a dumb one and use a Roku

Yes they are available, just have to dig about a bit.

Note that you don't have to use the Smart functionality of a smart TV if you don't want to - feel free to just plug the Roku in and use that instead.

There is no market for non smart TV just don't use the smart features to decide what's best for what you do want and plug your box on.

I'm only back in the UK now and again so this might be a silly question but if I buy the Roku does that mean I get all the Netflix etc stuff free or do I still have to pay for it?
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

You still have to pay for the pay streams/services

    You can still use that,

Remember there are nearly always deals about to get the options cheap, never pay full price.

Some of the good offers come with boxes I have spares.

If you can't find vouchers they usually make an offer when you cancel(in the last month).
