I think I have got this now.

For any newbies, find the 17 defences, then tweak the template to suit YOUR circumstances. Do this by reading all the points mentioned in the defence template and YOUR actual claim details from the Claimant.

Some points will be relevant, others not so delete those.

My final reply is post 21 (I think) below, I will update with an outcome.

I just can't seem to find the response for a MCOL PCN reply!

I've searched but can only find the normal ticketing one.

Sorry!

Thanks for accepting me BTW

I had a PCN from UK Car Park Ltd, MCOL is being done by Gladstone's.

it was for being parked on 'private property'.

Please can someone point me in the right direction for my response

MCOL = Money Claim on Line and is not run by Gladstones (although I am sure they would love to) but is a Government facility for the small claims court. You must have received letters before the formal court papers, what were they? Should be the PCN, debt collectors letters and finally a Letter of Claim (LoC/LBA/LBCCC). Go to the NEWBIE sticky post # 2 and follow the drop box link to find out how to submit the AoS. Acronyms are also in the sticky but in post #5.

Getting the name of the parking company (PPC) correct might be a good start. No such PPC.

The NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2 tells you exactly how to deal with a court claim, please read that section to give yourself some early momentum.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Have you a County Court Claim Form?

If so, what is the Issue Date on it?

    Had the form.

Asked for the extension as stated on here.

Got until the end of this week to reply.

UK Car Park Management Limited is the parking Company.

I did read the sticky but kind of got lost with all the 'if your PCN is for a, b or c etc'.

You have a few more days than you thought.

With a Claim Issue Date of 7th November, and having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 10th December 2019 to file your Defence.

That's a whole week away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.

When you are happy with the content, your Defence could be filed via email as suggested here:
      Print your Defence.
    1. Sign it and date it.
    2. Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
    3. Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
    4. Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
    5. No need to do anything on MCOL, but do check it after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defence received". If not, chase the CCBC until it is.
    6. Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are trying to keep you under pressure. Just file it.
    7. Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.

Thanks for that, appreciate your time

Still searching the Newbie bit, found the court claim section, where do I go fro here?

Is there a template that I can use?

Can I not just reply with "I was not the driver, I am the registered keeper"

    Sorry and thanks again all!

I know we recommend short concise defences but that is a bit too short, albeit pithy!

If you have found the NEWBIE sticky, look at post # 2 of that thread and scroll down until you come to the bit that starts of "Here are some cases won or in progress" and then keep reading the 17 pre-written defences.
