Very good Mr Inno Cent! Sorry we never saw this in time to comment sooner.
Stick around and come back at WS/evidence stage, well before your local hearing, to ensure everything is included, such as your photos and relevant case law exhibits, etc.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No worries, figured it out in the end.
I realised that I forgot to mention:
No picture of front of vehicle, so they are assuming no permit.
Can I email someone the info that they sent me? I can't seem to be able to upload it on here.
I hope it helps at least one person.
If I have to pay it then so be it but I am going to waste as much of their time as they have mine!!!
Thanks again everyone :beer:0 -
You can show a broken link to a scan by showing the URL to the image (shared link in Dropbox or IMGUR works well) in a reply, and changing http to hxxp (not 'uploading'). That gets around the problem a new has with 'live' links.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm back!
Merry Xmas to you all BTW.
Letter from GS received today, dated 17th Dec, stating intention to proceed with the claim.
Enclosed is their DQ.
They HAVE elected to mediate.
I take it that's good news as why would they want use the mediation option if they have a rock solid case?
Any comments welcomed, thanks again all and have a good one.0 -
Mediation, as you will know from reading the NEWBIE sticky post #2, is a waste of time. They want £FULL, you want to pay £0 - end of mediation!0
-
So I assume that I just let it run it’s course and await the court hearing?
Merry Xmas all.0 -
No, that's not a good idea.So I assume that I just let it run it’s course and await the court hearing?
Merry Xmas all.
If you haven't done so already, now is the time to familiarise yourself with what happens next - details in post #2 of the NEWBIES thread.
You will need to complete and return your DQ.
Then write your Witness Statement.
Then gather your evidence.
Not forgetting to file a Costs Schedule.
And a Merry Christmas to you too.0 -
Will have a read tomorrow

I haven’t received any paperwork yet.
When you say ‘evidence’, do you mean pictures of the scene etc? If yes, tomorrow may be a good day for it.
I like the idea of costs, especially at this time of year :j0 -
Yes , exhibits are your evidence , plus witness statement and costs schedule etc
But that stage will be in several months time
But the DQ comes first , when the CCBC get around to sending it to you0 -
Don't get carried away.I like the idea of costs, especially at this time of year
If you're working, and can take payslips to prove your earnings level, you could be able to get an absolute maximum of £95 to cover a half day's pay or loss of annual leave.
Then, on top of that, mileage to and from the court @ 0.45ppm and whatever parking fee you have to pay for the hearing (maybe £5-£10?).
You won't be getting a retirement payout.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
