Here is my update for the week:
1. Walk 2020km (282/2020)
2. Save £2020 (£400/£2020) - Saved £200 in Jan & Feb into my Help to Buy
3. Pay off 20% of debt (2.8%/20%) - I've paid off 2.8% since the beginning of the year
4. Read 20 books (1/20) - Read The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood this week
5. Lose 20% of body weight (4.5lbs/49.5lbs) - Lost 4.5lbs this week
6. Try 20 new recipes (0/20)
7. Tick 20 things off my bucket list (0/20)
8. 20 different date days (0/20)

Good morning. I hope life is treating you well.
Here is my update on my 20 20’s:-
1. Knit 20 balls of yarn (that's between 3 & 5 jumpers worth). 4/20 - This hasn’t moved much because I had to rip out and reknit the jumper that I’m creating, since I screwed up the above-waist increases. The fourth ball used up was on a pair of socks.
2. 20 minutes a day learning French (via Duolingo and TinyCards) for 20 weeks. Not started yet. Modified to 20 weeks.
3. 20 minutes exercise a day for 20 weeks.
4. Read 20 books. 2/20. False Value, by Ben Arronovich (the latest in the Rivers of London series). People Like Us: Margaret Thatcher and Me, by Caroline Slocock (a memoir of Caroline’s time as a civil servant in Downing Street. Fascinating.).
5. Try 20 new dinner recipes
6. 20 gardening sessions
7. Explore 20 new places 1/20 - the cathedral at Bayeux
8. Attend 20 "shows" (concerts/plays/films/BBC recordings/exhibitions) 3/20 - Frank Skinner’s “Showbiz”. The News Quiz. The Troy exhibition at the British Museum.
9. Do the 2020 Fashion On The Ration Challenge and keep within the coupon count. 17/66 coupons used. (Bought a trouser suit.)
10. Phone family/friends to chat 20 times (I'm hopeless on the phone). 2/20
11. Lose 20lbs
12. Mend 20 items of clothing (yes, that includes sewing on buttons and taking up hems) 2/20 - hemmed trousers from a suit purchased in 2018. Mended the pockets of suit jacket.
13. Declutter 20 items
14. Run 20 miles (but not all at once)
15. Save 20 x £20 out of my “allowance”(£400)
16. Make 20 site visits for work, earning mileage 20 times (it goes to the car fund). 28/20. I have one more week of my commitment in the Huntingdon office.
17. Write 20 blog posts (in 2019, I haven't managed one yet) 5/20
18. Log 10,000 steps on my Fitbit on 20 or more days (harder to do than it sounds). 3/20: 11.1.20 10505 steps, 22.2.20 10603 steps, 7.3.20 13527 steps
19. Have a party in the summer and invite at least 20 friends
20. Watch at least 20 programs that have been on the DVR since 2018. 0/20

Some of these will now get lots of attention and others will need to wait until this is all over. Fingers crossed I can still complete all of them before the end of the year. I've changed number 18 "Do things for work portfolio" cos although it needs to be done it's rather boring so I've borrowed "Support 20 local independent businesses" from ajmoney and I'll do that instead. - Walk 2020 km: 846/2020 (Fitbit - i have dropped from a comfortable 20k steps a day to a struggle to get 10k, but working on it!)
- Litter walks: 6/20 (this I have decide to suspend for now due to possible infection risks
- Organise / do 20 jobs on the house: 6/20 (so glad boiler, fire, vacuum cleaner, lock and dishwasher all broke before this, though i certainly wasn't at the time!)
- Make 20 donations to the food bank: 2/20 (may need to move to cash)
- 20 eco changes: 8/20 (haha does cancelling my flight to USA count? i didn't, but did count earth hour)
- 20 academic submission: 5/20 (sadly all those abstracts i wrote and got accepted have come to nought due to conferences being cancelled. no matter, need to convert to papers!)
- Bake bread 20 times: 0/20 (still not, but it does mean i've already to bread flour and yeast in the cupboard!)
- Declutter for 2020 minutes: 505/2020 (going well - i got rid of 34 bags of books to the Oxfam book shop before the big close down, and have reclaimed my office.
- Pay off £2020 on the mortgage: 0/2020 (we shall see how the finances are feeling)

oh and I've finished another book, and finally got round to fixing the handle on my chest of drawers. So simple, so quick, so why didn't i do it months ago?! (rhetorical). DD2 and i are going to make a list of other jobs that need doing around the house.

It is always the way, I decided to finally clear the shed and sort it out at the weekend. I set the whole day aside and it took an hour! I have been putting off organising and decluttering the cupboards in one spare room and my filing cabinet in another room for so long but I am sure once I actually start it won't seem so daunting.
