    This time next week my final payment will be taken I think it won't show until the day after that is been cleared but this time next week I'm going to be free of consumer debt, I can't believe it! 

    I keep looking at my bank and seeing the loan nearly gone and I could cry with joy I am so so so happy. 

    Not many people in my life know about my debt but I was talking about it to one person who I'm very close to who does know and they said are you proud of yourself? You should be so proud of yourself! I said no not really because I'm ashamed of myself for getting into the situation in the first place, he said you really shouldn't be, you should be so proud I'm so proud of you! 

    I find it hard to feel proud of myself, I'm so happy it will soon be gone but debt is still such a taboo subject and so much shame around it that I still feel bad for putting myself in a situation where I owed considerably more than my gross annual salary! 

    It's a funny one isn't it, I'd be the first to tell someone they should be proud of themselves for getting out of debt but feels tricky to think that way about myself
