Debt free before August 2023

I have just received a letter from my bank to say my last payment will be taken on the 16th December 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁 

I can not believe this is actually happening, it doesn't feel real at all. 

So in 2 weeks time I will be debt free, DEBT FREE 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I am so happy, honestly I can not say enough how much this means to me, In 2017 I was worried sick with the amount of debt I had (more than my annual salary) and I honestly couldn't see a way out, I wasn't sleeping, it was affecting my work, I was really really stressed and low, I thought I was facing bankruptcy and possibly losing my house. It was horrific!!!! 

The lovely people on the debt free wannabe forums helped me so much, that along with listening to / watching Dave Ramsey really inspired me and helped me to start planning how to start paying my debt down. 

I'm on count down........ not long now 😁😁😁😁 woop woop woop 🥳🥳🥳

Such an exciting way to end the year and start the new one!

Wow - just read your whole diary. What a journey! So delighted for you that you’ll be debt free this month, that’s amazing. Been looking for some inspirational diaries as I’m only at the start of what is sure to be a hard slog to pay off debt and you are definitely inspirational! Good luck in the next chapter of your debt free life 😊

A huge well done Poppy. You have worked so very hard to reduce that amount of debt you should be so very, very proud of yourself!! 

I too have looked on Debt free roll of honour and imagined myself on there too, and you actually get to do that!!

I used to do the exact same at the beginning of my journey and am so so grateful for the wonderful people on this forum without them I wouldn't be almost debt free. 

Thank you so much, good luck to you, I've been exactly where you are now and it's horrible but you can and will get out of it, I believe in you!

I am really excited about writing my post for the debt free roll of honour, as it's something I have thought a lot about over the years, it's true what they say the time will pass anyway so might as well do x y and z. The time would have passed anyway if I hadn't have started debt busting but I am truly happy I did. I will look out for your future post on the debt free roll of honour ☺️☺️
