Well done on getting below the £10k figure and am willing you on to get rid of it completely by the end of this year. Very well done considering you had repairs etc to pay out for as well. Good tip to ask yourself before buying things whether you want it more than you want to be debt free.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Hi diary world
just popping on to update totals for Jan, my debt is now £9,170 I can't begin to explain how much better it feels now that my debts under £10,000 I know it's still a lot but considering I started with over £30,000 it just feels like a huge weights been lifted. So excited to watch it dwindle away month by month over the coming year 😁 I have to say I'm not doing too well with the bringing in of extra money like I was previously, my receipt apps I'm struggling with as I'm not really doing much shopping, prolific has been quiet so I've not got much in there. I think I'll keep my eye out for a bank switch payment and consider doing that if there's one over £100 I have to say though it's a bit of a hassle.Other than that o can't really think of much else that would bring any extra cash in at the moment.I try not to talk about the dreading covid on my diary but I'm really struggling this lockdown, it's all just feeling a bit hopeless, with nothing to look forward to and not being able to plan anything it's just miserable. 😞 still will keep plodding on!Hope everyone is keeping safe and well 🌈

Hi Poppy you are doing really well. It’s hard to keep going , I’ve found it’s easier to tackle debt in lockdown as not spending and while not going out and no holiday planning it’s a positive for debt reduction. I’ve also found the receipt apps slow to build and I’m getting very few prolific surveys. Just wondering if eBay sales are working for people.I do need to sort, photograph things to go on eBay to reduce my debt further. My current DFD is Nov 2024. Well done Poppy on getting yours to 2022.Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2021 no 50 Target for this year £12,000
